if i delete a post,will the post count go down,just wondering

Ok, here goes the long explantion

When invidiual posts in a topic are deleted, post counts for those users are adjusted.
When a topic is deleted, where the total amount of posts is 20 (number of posts per page) or below, post counts are adjusted.
If a topic that has more then 20 posts is deleted, post counts are unaffected

Hope this better explains how the system works a little

that makes sense since sombody could make loads of posts and keep deleting them to get a higher post count, when the 20+ posts are deleted thats different because it has to be done by a moderator or administrater.

A person can only delete thier own posts, or topic if they are the topic starter and it has less then 20 posts (not sure on this but). Other then that then only admins and mods can do deleting.

I've seen some topics where I am unable to delete my posts... oO" ...like this one

Then the permissions on this board (and probably others) are set not to allow users to delete posts or thier topics.
