She did let herself get captured, so that she could see into the spirit's heart or soul or something. I think she indirectly explained it while she was still in the photo frame.

 Does anybody know where I can download the movie with subtitles? I couldn't download it before and since I heard that has been licensed I can't find any torrent... please -_-

Hi there. I too am also trying to find a torrent for the xxxHolic movie with eng subs. I actually saw it with Shinsen subs and I thought it was amazing. Yuuko is totally my hero and it was nice to see the Tsubasa crew as well!
