Tsukasa and Subaru from
.hack//SIGN - for a change, it was really refreshing to see a romance that wasn't so full of "ohhh, I wonder if I should tell her, but then will she hate me if I do...?" and suchlike. Just... two lonely souls reaching out to each other. Yay.
Some other couples I like (but not to the point where I would start making any kind of fanart of them). In no particular order:Kuro and Fai - if Fai however went off with his beloved poolcover pet, then maybe Kuro would manage to live happily ever after with Tomoyo-hime... as long as he could prevent her from meeting Sakura, that is.
Hatsuharu and Rin from
Fruits Basket - I honestly don't know why. They're just so sweet.
Shikamaru and Temari from
Naruto - and I have such a stupid reason for liking them. In fact, in the beginning I didn't care much for them, but after seeing a Naruto fanflash of bad animation where Shikamaru and Temari appeared on screen for about five seconds, featured by the song
Every time we touch, both me and my brother cried out "how CUTE!" at the same time, and we have been fans of this couple ever since. ^^
Sakura and Rock Lee from
Naruto - besides KuroFai, this is the only non-canon couple I like, but since I do believe the TRC boys have a fair chance of being canonised, this is the only shipping I'm convinced is a ship that will never sail. Sadly enough. Why I like it? Because Sasuke is in need of friendship, not romance, and Naruto is so annoying that I wouldn't even wish for my worst enemy to be stuck with him. That leaves only Lee, and even though Sakura doesn't deserve such a sweet guy, Lee sure deserves some happiness. Why doesn't anyone ever fangirl him, by the way?
