mekyo or hyuu?

Both.  Hyuu is fun on a daily basis and you can use it without getting any odd looks.  Mekyo on the other hand you can really have a lot of fun with by randomly throwing it into conversations.

Random non!TRC Friend: Do you want to go to the mall today, I need-
Rekall: Mekyo!
Friend: ....
