CLAMP's Famous Works > Cardcaptor Sakura
Which is better? Japanese or English?
Sarah Jane:
I'd have to say both.
Now before you hate me.
Hear me out, hehe.
By watching the dubbed on television...
It got me into Cardcaptor Sakura and anime in general.
And for that reason, I have to say both versions.

I do dislike Cardcaptors extremely, but at the same time, I feel the same way that you do. If I never saw Cardcaptors, I would've never found out about Card Captor Sakura. For that, I'll respect your reason. I still don't like Cardcaptors, but I owe them that much.

AMEN! The Filipino version at least didn't butcher CCS, and because of this version I am eternally grateful because I got into CCS. Meaning....
I DON'T OWE CARDCRAPTORS A SINGLE THING!
Yeah! That's how I hate CC so much.

People are really harsh towards the dubbed. >< It bugs me when people make fun of it. I have to say that the subbed sounds more mature. I'm 19 years old, so I like the subbed better.
Moon:
Sakura is.. what, 10 years old! Tomoyo generally sounds more mature for her age, but for Sakura, she's suppose to be sweet! Most the main characters are children!! I love the japanese verison better, because Sakura sounds so much sweeter then her english counterpart. It makes me clinge.
Although from watching the subbed verison I was able to find out about the original verison. I noticed that they left out so much and I curious as to why. The episode guide is so short compared to how long Card Captor Sakura is. But all I can is, to each their own. If you liked the subbed so much, then thats fine. However most of the members on this forum prefer the japanese more, like myself.
