I think he did in the glow card ep, but he definately opened his eyes on the power card ep (when he was with syaoran taking pic of the sloth and there was a huge bang (hench, eye opener).

There's a special episode(one of the three of Tomoyo's special videos) where Sakura, Syaoran, Tomoyo and Meiling try to discover why Yamazaki only sometimes opens his eyes. ^^
