Well, [手当て], teate, really means "treatment", "response" [to a situation], so in Syaoran's situation it would of course mean 'medical treatment'. Both translations are really paraphrases to fit the English (like most translations are anyway), so both really have the same connotation. It's how you want to interpret it.
