CLAMP's Famous Works > Cardcaptor Sakura

Third Movie

Cardcaptor Takato:
I never said that being long doesn't make them sucky.  I said that when a show is longer it's hard to come up with more creative ideas and sometimes they can get sucky and I never said I hated Sailor Moon (although Dragonball Z is a different story).  So, people who like them can say what they think yet people who don't like them can't?  Where's the logic in that?  I have just as much right to say what I think about something as anyone else does.  If you don't like what I type in my post Vexnet, then why don't you just don't like it, be quiet, stop moaning, and stop attacking every post I make?!

Arcademan:
I can't stand DBZ and Sailor Moon lasted too long as a series. Those are my opinions, just like Cardcaptor Takato and no matter what, it's not going to change. The point is...you may not agree with my opinions but you don't have to attack my opinions.

My apologies for going off-topic but I really don't like personal attacks about opinions, especially toward a person I consider a friend. Thank You.

Takeru:
Now now, boys and girls, get along nicely.

I personally am not rooting for a third movie. As much as I really wish CCS to continue, I don't want a third movie. They gave CCS a great ending with the Sealed Card, and if they continue on from there chances are it's not gonna be as good as what we expect. When a sequel comes around the corner, chances are it's not gonna be as indulging as anything before it. When a series ends, it ends.

If there ever happened to be a third movie, I wouldn't be rooting for a family. Even though it's been two years, Sakura is still young. I think CLAMP tries its best not to age their characters too much, and they would most likely make Sakura and Syaoran remain strictly preteen. Characters like Syaoran and Sakura should never grow up.

Anyone seen Digimon? Look what happened to the characters at the end of the season. They grew up, gave a little background information about the lives they were currently leading, and it wasn't a really good ending. See what I mean?

That's why I argue my points as is. Blah.

Arcademan:
I can see Sakura and Syaoran getting married, settling down and having children but alas, not in a third movie or anime. Remember it took hundreds of years for Clow Reed to find a successor to the cards...if anything is done it's possible that perhaps a few hundred years in the future, a young boy finds The Book of Sakura, opens it and by accident releases the Sakura Cards. Kero awakes and proclaims him the next Cardcaptor...the cycle beginning anew...only deep into the future and not the immediate :)

Please take this as my opinion...whether you agree, not agree or see something entirely different...it's all cool :)

Cardcaptor Takato:
Thank you, Yamato-san!  You put what I was trying to say in the best wording!
