Third Movie
« on: April 15 2005, 03:32 am »
Do you think that a third movie would be cool? You know, a look at Sakura and Syaoran when they're a bit older (maybe 25?). They could even have a couple of chibi kids....I can just imagine the couple trying to battle a new card with their kids in tow!

No, because no couple can ever replace Sakura and Syaoran for me. Not even their kids. :XD:

Maybe not the kids...but it would be kinda nice to see what happened to Sakura and Syaoran, and whether they're still fighting magic.

I can just imagine the couple trying to battle a new card with their kids in tow!

:XD: I can imagine that too!

Sakura: Kids! Mommy and Daddy can handle this card. You just go home and finish your chores!
Kids: Aw, but mommy fighting a card is so much more exciting than washing the dishes!
Syaoran: Now now kids... Listen to what mommy says and go home right away.
Kids: Alright alright! But you have to give us ice cream for dessert.
Syaoran and Sakura: Home! Now!

Well, I don't know about that, but that's what first came to mind when I imagined it :hehe:   I don't know about the kids either; however, a third movie would be great if it had a lot of S+S moments :inlove:

Yeah....I can just imagine them older...

Sakura - longer hair, and a pretty, but practical long skirted dress. Loves her kids to bits.

Syaoran - hair still slightly messy, developed a great build, and loves the kids a lot, but sometimes finds it hard to show
how much he really cares about them...

I don't think I would like to see a third CCS movie.  Part of the problem some anime have is that they get so long that it's difficult to come up with creative ideas before it starts to get sucky (like Dragonball Z or Sailor Moon).  One of the things I liked about CCS is that it had the perfect ending and knew where to finish.  CLAMP would really be pushing their luck if they tried to produce a third CCS movie, so I think the series is better off with how it ended.
When her leathery, crow-footed face turned towards my raised hand and said, “Yes, the boy in the Sailor Mercury t-shirt,” I sprung into action. It took me a brief 20 seconds to acquire the bokken (wooden sword) I had secured to the underside of our chairs with duct tape the night previous. Shouting “Japan BANZAIII!” in the manner of those noble kamikaze pilots from the War of United States Aggression (so tactlessly referred to in your history books as “World War II”), I charged the stage, bringing down the bokken forcefully onto the plywood table in front of Tiffany Grant. It was a tragic mistake not to channel my ki correctly. The bokken splintered into a thousand pieces, leaving me with no other plan of attack besides shouting, “You’re no Asuka!” as two Ohayocon toughs escorted me out of the room-SomethingAwful.com

A third movie would be awesome! I'd kind of want it to be with the Tsubasa characters and with everything centered around the story of what happened after Tsubasa.

yes that sounds like a good idea,
and as for sailor moon and dbz, just because they are long and You personally don't like them, does not mean they are sucky. it appeals to people who like what they do, if you don't like it, be quiet and don't moan about it.

I never said that being long doesn't make them sucky.  I said that when a show is longer it's hard to come up with more creative ideas and sometimes they can get sucky and I never said I hated Sailor Moon (although Dragonball Z is a different story).  So, people who like them can say what they think yet people who don't like them can't?  Where's the logic in that?  I have just as much right to say what I think about something as anyone else does.  If you don't like what I type in my post Vexnet, then why don't you just don't like it, be quiet, stop moaning, and stop attacking every post I make?!

I can't stand DBZ and Sailor Moon lasted too long as a series. Those are my opinions, just like Cardcaptor Takato and no matter what, it's not going to change. The point is...you may not agree with my opinions but you don't have to attack my opinions.

My apologies for going off-topic but I really don't like personal attacks about opinions, especially toward a person I consider a friend. Thank You.

Now now, boys and girls, get along nicely.

I personally am not rooting for a third movie. As much as I really wish CCS to continue, I don't want a third movie. They gave CCS a great ending with the Sealed Card, and if they continue on from there chances are it's not gonna be as good as what we expect. When a sequel comes around the corner, chances are it's not gonna be as indulging as anything before it. When a series ends, it ends.

If there ever happened to be a third movie, I wouldn't be rooting for a family. Even though it's been two years, Sakura is still young. I think CLAMP tries its best not to age their characters too much, and they would most likely make Sakura and Syaoran remain strictly preteen. Characters like Syaoran and Sakura should never grow up.

Anyone seen Digimon? Look what happened to the characters at the end of the season. They grew up, gave a little background information about the lives they were currently leading, and it wasn't a really good ending. See what I mean?

That's why I argue my points as is. Blah.
The world won't give me a chance. I'm done asking for one.

I can see Sakura and Syaoran getting married, settling down and having children but alas, not in a third movie or anime. Remember it took hundreds of years for Clow Reed to find a successor to the cards...if anything is done it's possible that perhaps a few hundred years in the future, a young boy finds The Book of Sakura, opens it and by accident releases the Sakura Cards. Kero awakes and proclaims him the next Cardcaptor...the cycle beginning anew...only deep into the future and not the immediate :)

Please take this as my opinion...whether you agree, not agree or see something entirely different...it's all cool :)
