The disaster befalling the world...

(1/1)

Ando:
We all know that what the disaster befalling the world at the cardcaptor's failure heavily depends on what said person thinks would be the worst that could happen. In Sakura's case, it was that people would cease to love, but what would have happened if, say, Syaoran had been the one to decide the world's fate? Or why not Tomoyo? Maybe in both cases, the disaster would have been Sakura going POFF! :wink:

No, seriously. What do you think would have been the worst scenery imaginable for the characters of CCS? You can choose anyone, from Terada-sensei to Yue himself, and if you want to make it hard for yourself, list what you think would have happened if you lost to the Judge.

*TwilightNight*:
Syaoran: End Of The World/Armageddon/Disaster/Hate XP
- It sounds like something he would think about. I mean, he isn't one to think about love ceasing to exist or anything sappy. Maybe not that far, but by the look in the manga that he gave when explaining it to Sakura, it was probably something GRAVE. *shrugs*

Tomoyo: Sakura forgets about her, etc.  ^_^;

Eriol: I really don't want to find out...probably taking away everyone he cares about....? The world turns cold? (foils his plans of World Domination and becoming a dictator....?)

Others: Really have no idea...for Yukito is probably taking away food or Touya.

Me: Seeing people suffer, especially my family or loved ones.

Cardcaptor Takato:
I always thought the disaster was the same for everyone and that everyone would lose their memories?  Because the whole point of having everyone lose their memories was so the Clow Cards weren't hurt?  Kero even says that the disaster isn't something psychical, so if the disaster was something different, how would Kero know what it was already?  I'm lost here.

Ando:
The Clow Card love the one who sealed them off the most, thus, the didn't excactly lose their memories; the forgot about the one the loved so that they wouldn't get hurt (in Cardcaptors, however, they just had everyone forget about anything related to the Cards instead of their loved ones).
However, Kero states in the manga that the disaster depends on the cardcaptor personality. The anime doesn't point this out too clearly, but I remember that there was at the end of one episode (I'll check which one later) where Sakura asked Kero about the disaster and he told her that it wouldn't be something like the end of the world. But then, when a relieved Sakura left, we heard him think "but depending on who you are, it could be far worse than the end of the world...". Ehh, hope you followed me there.

Cardcaptor Takato:
When Kero says that the disaster is different depending on your personality, I don't think he means that the disaster itself is going to be different but it's going to affect you differently depending on who you are.  If somebody with a cold personality who doesn't love anyone loses the Final Judgement, it's obiviously not going to affect them any at all because they don't love anyone due to their personality, so they can't exactly lose the memories of someone they love if they don't love anyone.  Other people might not care if they lose their memories even if they love someone depending on their personality and if the Clow Cards by chance didn't affect anyone that the Cardcaptor knew personally, then only they would lose their memory because nobody else was involved.  The disaster itself isn't going to be different because of your personality, but how bad the disaster is going to affect you will change depending on who you are.
