Obsession over Manga/Anime characters

this is very very true, and indeed had happened lolz-though some of u may think this is quite ridiculous  :sweatdrop:
some people get obsess over a certain 'awesome' character..in a good way; nevertheless, there r also people who drawn themselves into the manga/anime world completely due to the influences on their favorite characters  :heh:
but letz not get carry away xP, let's share your experiences-or opinions-on this topic  :D

as 4 me..i'd say..i'm on the verge XD
i love S+S, tho not in a highly obsessed way
but even i'm not sure xP, maybe a couple
more manga volumes or anime eps will
make everything totally different  :lol:

What is obsession really. I mean for 1 person, obsession can mean keeping tabs on new releases for their fav manga and circling the day on your calendar. But for another, obsession can mean hunting down your favorite picture of Shaoran in the Tsubasa manga, searching relentlessly for hours until you find the website with him dressed in a knight's armor. Of course this is just an example :sweatdrop:... Anyway the point is I'm not obsessed. I can quit anytime I want.

  No wait - the point was to share experiences and opinions. I've been told I'm obsessed just because I screamed and jumped up&down when I first found out about Tsubasa and have pre-ordered every book since. I mean after the heartbreak of being promised more CCS in the 2nd movie and not getting it :cry: I was totally entitled to my outburst. Right? :heh: Right... And having to have my fix-I mean watch an anime episode before I can go to bed is totally normal.

  And besides people who are really obsessed usually won't admit it. And since I'm not obsessed I'm excluded from that bunch. :D Well gotta go!

Yes, most of us can be obsessed at times....like me. But overall I think enjoying the fandom and being obsessed can be pretty fun.

I don't know why I'm obsessed...all I know is that I like any anime with a good story, like VexNet said. I think the only anime I don't like is Duel Masters.

I think having a little obsession with a character, a couple, or a whole group/anime/manga is healthy. I mean we all have fantasies at times, what's wrong with including a character or two in them as well. I'm not ashamed to admit I've written myself into a storyline or two just for my own entertainment, is that so wrong... is it >.>;; But really it's just harmless fun... unless you kill people for liking the character you obsess over o.o

i guess everybody has different opinions ^_^ there is no saying that who's right or not..
i remember i used to be quite obsessed about Shinichi Kudou (in Detective Conan) xP almost scream out whenever i see him appear in the manga (remember that he was in a kid-Conan-'s form almost all the time) lol XD
now i'm not obsessed about him anymore-guess it died with the time XD-i still think he's cute & cool though =D

I'm obsessed because I just am.  I have an obsessive disorder actually (in my mind at least..XD).  Meaning, I get obsessed with one thing then I'd get obsessed with another as quickly as that.  [snaps fingers to emphasize point]  ^__^;;

Its just how I am but besides that, being obsessive is fun but people should know when to stop or get a little too far ahead of themselves.   :keke:

Hm, I get obsessive with certain series as a whole, but I've never really gotten that way with certain pairings or characters.

I'm def obsessed...if my favourite character comes on, I'll start squeaking, and I'll really go hyper....

I rock back and forth grinning like a madwoman, and my chest tightens....

I definately have major obsessions... with lots of things. Lessee, I've been obsessed with Escaflowne for... about four or five years now (you'd think it'd wear off, but no, mwah!!! VAN!! *glomps* *cough* Gomen nasai!)

Now I'm also obsessed with Tsubasa (I can't stop thinking about! GAH!!! It's too awesome!) and Chrno Crusade (mainly 'cause I like Chrno ^^). And... Fruits Basket ^^''. AND... etc etc.

No wonder I'm always so crazy and broke...

I tend to be a REAL fan of what I am fan of :P it's just that some animes, some characters develop in me such a LOVE I cannot explain!!! I can cry, shout, and be endlessly happy for apparently no reason because of those animes and those characters!!!! Ahhhh!!!!! I want my FAI!!!!!! xD see, now I started with him!!!!!!! I LOVE HIM!!!!!!!!!!! Ahhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think everyone here is obsessed to some extent or another.  It is a very healty thing to get excited over something that someone may enjoy, but if anyone ever made over a thousand post in one day, then it may be cause for concern  :sweatdrop:

I used to be obsessed for Sakura herself...but not anymore...or any other anime character...
