[TRC Arc 2] Episode 1: The Dangerous Race

So I've seen the sub now... Tomoyo is all wonderfully and beautifully gay, with her million and a half female bodyguards and her joy over Sakura's beauty. ^^ <3 I'm not sure how I feel about her new voice, but I think I might be slowly falling in love with it.

And they included the conversation in Piffle where Kuro reminds Fai that they've not run into Ashura and Fai says he would know if it were -his- Ashura or another just sharing the name. This doesn't seem nearly as meaningful without Shurano coming right before. Sigh. But at least they put the scene in.

Haha I just watched it. I love that S+S scene ^^ So cute!!! But you know, when Tomoyo was introducing herself and rambling on about video taping or something, then she grabbed Sakura's arm , did you hear Sakura go, hooeee? like in Cardcaptor Sakura? It sounded sort of... different, but I guess I'm used to different things from the original anime when it comes to Tsubasa. Anyway, I had to point that out. I'm glad I can sort of understand what's going on! I hope I can to watched the subtitled version soon so I can see if I've been close with my own translations.

Meh, stupid me totally missed the OP and ED links, but I finally saw them and I have to say, the OP is pretty cool.  Lotsa nice fighting going on, though the random Sakura kinda threw me off.

-blush-  As for the ED, it took me a minute to realize that little Fai wasn't Sakura.  I dunno, they have the same hair...sorta...I think I'm losing it, waiting for this to finish downloading.  The songs are okay, though, so I have no complaints for the new OP and ED.

Yosh, my constructed criticism on the episode;

Opening Song: I liked song better than Blaze, but it seemed awkward how they go from a fighting scene to Sakura in a ball gown. It was very weird for me. And all the time I was wondering why she even in there if her only appearence was to look beautiful. Possibly there for an eyecatch I'm guessing.

Episode: I really liked this episode. Quite possibly my absolute favorite episode so far. I loved how Sakura seemed so much like my beloved CCS Sakura, and the same goes for Syaoran and Tomoyo. It was like my beloved CCS was back again.

And when Sakura said, "hoeee" I positively squealed! And Tomoyo saying, "Kawaii desu wa!" I absolutely loved it!

Ending Song: I truly liked this one better than the opening song; it was so sad, and yet so beautiful at the same time. I also liked how they showed their past selves.

All in all, it was a great opening episode. I'm looking forward to next week!

heres a tip for thos with dial up: put a limit on the uploading (a tad less than the aerage should work).  do that and your download will increase. jsut remember to remove the limit when your done.

just watche the ep and it was so cool. (did anyone else have poor vid quality on the sub? mine kept digitizing and making it hard to read fai's face and the subs.)

as for the ending: it seems to me that what Celes is composed of is a bunch of floating casltes or something, over an ocean and baran land

Opening: I don't know if i like Blaze more than IT'S, but right now it's: IT'S.. I love the english parts of the song. Kinya-kuuun~~

Endning: Maaya-sama sings pretty as always~ I like this one more than Loop X3. Fai-chan and Kuro-chan~ Kawaii~<3, what's with the orange neko?! O.o

Episode: Kyaaaaaah! Syaoran-kun kakkoii~<333.. And Sakura said "Hoee!" I love Kuro and Fai's talk x3.. Fai~.. Syaoran held Sakura's hand *3*. I loved that moment, and Mokona said "Lovely dovey dovey" XD. Maaya Sakamoto-sama did the voice for Tomoyo-chan! Kirei~. I can't wait for the next episode ^^

I really love the opening and ending sequences. Little Fai!!! And the opening song...did anyone else notice the Fai leaning on Kuro right at the beginning? (c.a.n.o.n.)

The animation was brilliant and the music intense and awesome as ever. Having read the manga, they certainly sped up this particular arc quite a bit, but I think that might have been a good decision.

Love the Tomoyo giddiness and floating in the imposed background with the camera. Excellent CCS tribute. Lots of the art in this episode was much more blatantly CLAMP inspired, partially because of how many wings and bears there were, making it more obvious.

Overall: Episode 27 = <3

if this keeps up 2nd season will be a lot better than 1st season (which was a bit of a disappoint because of lack of pace in the story, not enough humor and that 'dying' stuff from ep 26)

I am surprise to see the Clamp school trio in the race.  The manga didn't give emphasis on them in that scene. ( that scene really make my day!).

opening song - i like it, although its not the best among spring season.  I like Kinya songs since Gravitation, may be that add some points on him.  compare it with opening of S1, movie and S2.  I still prefer the movie opening theme.

closing song- Its Maaya's trademark song.  her song used to be like that. However, i still prefer the s1 closing.
The orange cat in ending song reminds me the cat in Angelic Layer manga inner cover.

How many episodes do you think Pfiffle country will have? I'm guessing three or four. They seem to be getting ready for the big race already in episode 2. Probably end it when the gang is at the starting line. Which means episode 3 will be the race... And it'll depend on how long the race will be, since there is a pretty big explanation and party scene afterwards.
