Well, that can happen in other situations too. You could be in love with a girl and not have love returned because she isn't into girls. That's just the way things go.
Personally I believe many 'straight' people could fall in love with either a guy or a girl...
Some people are just too stubborn to admit feelings of attraction to the same gender.

Aw, Tessaiga, we're not jumping on you. I respect your opinions, I guess my point was, you know an anime character is never going to fall in love with you in the first place (well, except those dreams ^^;; ) whatever their preference, so does it make a difference? *shrugs* Well, I've never been in the situation, so maybe I don't know. o_O;

I'm not a major fan, though. I prefer the tamer stuff. Noything too..[ahem] graphic. I blush too easily, hehe.
But I'm aware of certain couples (like Kuro/Fai Yay!) and support them 100%!!

I voted no. I don't like homosexuality. My sisters ex-best friend is a lesbian, and she tried to make a pass at me. Since then, I don't like them. Also, people used to accuse me of being a lesbian when I was in high school. I wasn't really feminine at that time, but I'm wasn't a lesbian. I was a tomboy, still am, but I won't persuade you to change your opinion. We all have our rights.

Well, I'm pretty happy with the way this vote is going.....twice the number of voters who don't like shonen-ai/yaoi, DO like it! And I hope it stays that way!

I don't know why, but I just can't get enough of that wonderful fluff! (or other more serious stuff...hey! I rhyme!) I just seem to find the storylines more real than ones for straight couples a lot of the time...especially when it comes to fanfiction. Plus, a lot of the shonen-ai/yaoi stories are very angsty, and that kind of plot attracts me.

I practically don't pick up a manga or anime unless it's yaoi, or at least
somewhat implied shounen-ai! That's what makes it exciting!
I'm ruined for 'straight' anime and manga. The guys are just so much better.
And we know which two guys I'm talking about...  :D

I think that is why nature made it that way. Actually it is the same for me if at TRC the pairing for Kurogane is Fay or Tomoyo, so I guess that settles it.  :sweatdrop:

In the animal population, there is plenty of same gender activity and actually some species that are entirely female that reproduce without males. 
But that's getting way off topic.  :D

Yes, I love Yaoi and shounen-ai. It's one of the main and many reasons why I love CLAMP (and Tsubasa) so much... And of course my ultimate ULTIMATE favorite shounen-ai couple is KuroFai. :keke:

KuroFai pairing is nice, though. But for some strange reason I think that Tomoyo Kurogane is ok too. Even so,I am glad that you respect my
