Wow, everyone is sick! I just got over the flu, and now my brother has strept throat. Eww
I'm just plain peeved. Found out more of the plans for my Grad.
[I was going to put my rant in a spoiler tag so my post didn't look as huge but apparently I don't have 'permission' to do so. Odd.]
Someone please tell me if this sounds even remotely fair. In my opinion, it sounds like we're prisoners.
We don't get to rent limos, they're sticking us on a cruddy transit bus. And after the Grad Ceremony we're lined up in alphabetical order, and ushered off into the dinner/dance (which I don't even want to go to considering I'd have to pay $150 for it) and we're not allowed to leave until 6am the next day. The school is hiring a security team and they have the 'right' to go through our overnight bags to make sure we haven't stashed any alcohol or drugs (not that I'm complaining, I sort of understand that part).
The reason they're going above and beyond is because they don't want anyone throwing a wet grad (meaning a party with alcohol and such, which I was planning on throwing at my house, haha. My mom was suprisingly all for it.) and getting themselves killed (drunk driving and such).
I'm beyond mad now. It's ridiculous how they're treating us. This is supposed to be a celebration over the fact that we're entering the 'real world' as adults, but they're treating us like prisoners. The only way we're allowed to leave after the Grad Ceremony is if our parents contact the administration days before.
I'll be 18 by then, which means I'm legally able to go where I please without parental permission. They can't hold me against my will.
Phew, I needed to rant to someone other than my mother, haha. I've been in the house for the past few days, sick, and no one else has been around to talk to, haha.
