Yeah, I've decided to go retro for a while, though I've downloaded a PS emulator and looking for a PS2 emulator as well. I've grown tired of the NES SHMUPs that I have here like Armored Scrum Object and Legendary Wings XD. And I don't have SNES SHMUPs T_T.

Twinbee Series (too many games to count)

Gradius 1-2 (Awesome ports)

Life Force (AWESOME!)

SNES...

Gradius III (Good game but the Arcade Version is way better)

Super R-Type (Slowdown ruins the pace)

R-Type 3 (Make sure you have lots of spare space in your memory, this is Pattern Memorization at its peak!)

Parodius (Funny game!)

Parodius Da! (Good, but not as good as Parodius 3)

Parodius 3 (Best of the Parodius series)

Aerofighters 1-3 (Great manic SHMUP series)

Those are what I can remember.

R-type final:

i reached the boss of stage 7 on very easy and got completely annihalated. that was not a boss but a freak of nature!

that thing keeps throwing dozens/hundreds of enemies at me and my attacks don't seem to any damage at all to that thing

i'm taking a break till i can figure out how to damage that thing

Well, you have to avoid the Cores Firing at you.

In harder difficulties, the spacing is very small.

don't plan on buying the xbox 360 (that console focuses a lot on action, racing, shooting, fighting games but i don't like those sort of games) but perhaps the ps3 if they downgrade the price to 200 dollars or less

i've been a Nintendo gamer ever since i started playing games (i was 6 years old back then XD) and even tough i have some serious doubts about the controller of the Wii console, i'll stick with Nintendo ^_^

and besides, it's only 1 month till the release of the game i've been waiting for for 8 years!

I still think the best Snes game is Final Fantasy 6. Notice how all the old rpgs seem so much more deep than the recent ones. Propberbly something to do with obsessive graphics lol.

my favorite Snes games:

Run Saber - challenging and cool graphics and attacks ^^
Axelay - it's a classic
Legend - i think this was the first hack & slash game i ever played
Link to the past - it's a Zelda game, nuff said XD
Tetris Attack - the best timekiller there is
Power Rangers - a favorite for nostalgic reasons

Snes game i hated the most: Super Putty......very difficult, anoying, stupid, boring, controls are hard to figure out etc etc!

That's some of my faves.

I'll be buying a Wii this December and PS3 next year (hopefully it now has price cuts).

hehe... ps3 is not out until this november in the U.S. according to sony... But desptie it's bad E3 performance.. I hope they'll make the ps3 more popular with it's games + the blu-ray disc techonology... @__@

lawls.. The wii's controller is the 1st of it's kind... A motion sensitive, remote control shaped controller that can do almost anything on the wii! This should make mario move like luke skywalker XD
