how about he uses his magic to transform his sword into a fire or lightning sword for more power but he gains more damage from attacks while doing this

or perhaps use the Rashiban/Lasin Board circle used by his mother in the CCS 1st movie to double his speed and power....the downside is that the spell takes a long time to complete (10-20 seconds) and Syaoran can't move while casting the spell.

or perhaps this one:

he summons Meiling who first glomps him to death and then scares the opponent away by shouting at them, lol!

Now that you've mentioned it, Yue is pretty much adept in magic, not to mention he shows off flight abilities a lot of times. The only minus is that he might end up being weak in physical attacks and defense.
