I agree.
In fact thats exactly what I said.  *raises eyebrows and smirks*  Whatever.  The fact is, there is no after life.  Im a man of science, and just like Tiffany said above,we rot. Simple, not pleasant, but thats life.  But thats what I believe, so dont come and yell in my face that I dont believe in blahblahblah that crap.  -.-

On an ephemeral evening, I tell a story to my friend.

Reflected behind my closed eyelids is a sweet field. Dauntless, I embrace you lovingly. I am together with you.

Out of love, I forge a pact with you. Like a breath, the wind will envelop you. You and I will be together wherever we go.

The heart of red will be enfolded in wind and forge the contract.

I'm Pagan with strong interests in Buddhism, Shinto and Humanism.

BTW - I have a scientific degree and I find it hard to believe that death is 'the end' since energy cannot be destroyed. Reincarnation is the form of afterlife I lean toward most, but meh, we'll all find out sooner or later :)

Very true. Excellent description. As for me, I lean towards life in another kingdom; heaven, but we're all entitled to our own beliefs.

Also true! And since the other part of my degree was Philosophy of Science, I will point out that we only 'know' that energy cannot be destroyed because we believe what the scientists tell us... xD

Oh, I understand now. You're Catholic for the sole reason that you were told that you were. Have you ever been baptized? If you haven't then you really aren't Catholic. You can't become a part of the church until you're baptized.

*sighs with a grr*

well...

Kuro, You can't be told what religion you are, You have to make up your own mind about it. If you don't believe in God then you can't be a catholic since that kinda requires you to believe in God.

and bah, Philosophy, Obviously someones being ignored.

Eh?

But yes. You can't be told what religion you are - it's something you have to look into yourself. Search deep inside and all that jazz :) But you shouldn't feel you have to follow a religion just because someone tells you to. It's a personal choice but obviously, depending on how old you are you have to listen to your parents on certain matters.

Very true. I used to think that I was Catholic also because my mom said I was. I didn't even like going to church. The only reason I went to church was because my mom told me that I would go to Hell if I didn't.

I became a true Catholic a little over a year ago. I found what I wanted out of life when I knew what major I wanted; I wanted to become a teacher, and a nun at my church helped me to get a position as a Catechist teacher for Sunday school. After that happened, I found God and I've never been happier.
