I consider myself a liberal catholic. I mean, I was raised as a catholic but have some ideas that differ from those of this religion a bit.

I'm catholic too. i love my religion. it's so strict free. unless you want to do something immoral
then it's bad. all you have to do is follow the 10 commandments, and then the 6 holy days. or is it 10
not sure. Then that's it.

Ok here's how it is
Catholic priest can't have sex or kids.
They can get married but nothing else because the are representing god.
But Catholics are very easy going.
You can do whatevr you want just don't put the lords name in vain and go to church.
Of course you don't have to go. Cuz i haven't gone to church in like 2 years.
So i don't think it's strict.

oh.. i kinda get it now.. even if you don't go to church.. you're still consider a catholic? is it like someone who's not a strong catholic.. falling away.. or is it still consider catholic period?

As long as you believe in saint then your still considered a catholic
Like my aunt she hasn't gone to church in 20 years but she still prays and believes so she's still catholic. The one thing i don't like is confession
they're embarrasing.

Confession is pretty much what it sounds like you confess your sins.
I don't know exactly how it goes, since the only times I've seen a Confessional boxy thingy was in the movies...and you can never believe what you see in the movies....

No actually you have it right.( And it's ok if you ask questions i don't mind.)
You confess your sins (if you have any) or you talk about your problems openly to the priest. the tell you how many prayers or "hail mary's" to say depending on the actions of your sins. then they give you the bread ( which is this small round thing) and they give you liquior. representing the body and blood of christ. The liquior is really good^_^.

Catholicism is a part of Christianity, they are not two separate things.

I never knew there were so many Christians here. I'm one myself.

well I love discusing religion, its one of my favorite topics. I've studied other relgions my whole life! so I know quite a bit about different religions and I'd love to more so this is great! I'm also glad that it hasn't turned into one big fight yet! there always seems to be someone that doesn't like someone for something ya know.

I a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (what a mouth full!) A.K.A a Mormon.
I hope that doesn't bother anyone. I've gotten quite a lot of flames for it on forums in the past!

I don't know either [is clueless of everything]
But I personally couldn't handle being in an organized religion either, VexNet...too organized.
I have faith in myself...that's enough for me.
