i played the recorder from the ages of 6-11
i played the clarinet from the ages of 11-16 (very badly, i might add XD)
i play the keyboard from the age of 11, and i still do, although i no longer take lessons, i play in my spare time. my school offered free music lessons ^^

a recorder is played with the body of the instrument pointing away from you, and you blow into a mouthpiece and in my opinion, it's one of the easiest wind instruments to play. recorders are also often made from plastic.

flutes, on the other hand, are played with the body pointing to the side, and there isn't a mouthpiece. there's just a hole, for you to blow through, but you have to have your lips positioned in a certain way. the notes are produced by pressing on keypads that cover the holes, whereas on a recorder, you cover the holes directly with your fingers, and you can produce more notes with the flute. flutes are usually made from metalas well, from what i've seen anyways ^^

i tried the flute once, but i couldn't get a sound out of it, so i played the clarinet instead. it's easier, but i kept making squeaks all the time, no matter how much i practised -_____-

I guess violin is boring in the beggining. I remember thinking that I thought violin was boring. But you see, it's just the basic that's boring. You'll have to learn pizzicato, and to hold your violind right and all that. And then you can try the real thing and that it both very hard and so much fun^^ You learn new thing all the time. Even if you played violin in 20 years!!
And you enjoy violing so much after know many effects that you can do. My favourite effect is: Vibrato, crecendo, and "octav" changing(you play one tone higher insted of the tone that the notes says)
I like to play in forte too(strong). It makes me feel very happy and strong. I can really freely then.

I also dabble in a bit of piano. A very little bit of piano. Like, the sheet music for "Loop" was a chalenge. (I still printed it out anyway!!)

i play trumpet, teach myself guitar, played piano for about 5 years and im pretty fine.... i might start getting lessons in guitar soon but i dont think i'll b able to cuz i hav drama practice every saturday....aw shoot O_o;;
