I skimmed the chapter really quickly, and from what I read of bits and pieces...

Syaoran's power is reduced because of his missing eye. He took Fay's eye, because that is the source of where Fay's power is.

I am trying so hard not to hurt inside. WHY WHY WHY must Clamp be so EVIL and do this to us??? NO~~~~!!

As a vampire on the run, what reason does he have to stop the bait from tearing the other guy's eye out? All he wants is for Subaru to wake up so they can skidaddle. Not really so interested in saving a rival in prettiness.

- He is however missing an eye.

- Which is ironic, because that rhymes (and darn you ungalad, now I want to write a poem and it's nearly midnight here)

Yeah he was probably hoping that with all the blood around Subaru would wake up soon so they can leave. Either that or he was thinking "meh it's not Fuuma's eye so why should I care?"

Fai's only lost one eye. Sure, it'd be lovely if he didn't lose ANY eyes...but...he's still got one of 'em...so there's still some pretty blue floating around there.

Clamp has got some serious patching up to do with the fangirls. ¬¬

Which reminds me. If we're going to get mad at people for not doing anything, what about those other X characters? Satsuki and whoever else. They could shoot their crossbows or something, right? I mean, in addition to Fai's eye, THERE GOES THE WATER SUPPLY. I wouldn't think they'd be too happy with Syaoran right now. (Mind, Kamui was the one who got the whole thing polluted with blood in the first place, so I wouldn't think they'd be happy with HIM either.)
Add them to the list of "people who should be doing something". Along with the list of "people who really need to be showing up" (Subaru, awake!Sakura, real!Syaoran), and the list of "people who are going to be showing up sometime in the near future if the plot continues at this pace" (Seishirou, Ashura-ou).
