I noticed that 'Fei Wang Reed stealing souls' line too. I really love the way that incidents that don't seem to have much relevance crossover ages later and take on a super plot-impacting meaning. So many twists and turns!

That's the gist I got. Now Syaoran has full magic and Fai only has half.
