(!) Anything Goes Board Summer Cleaning

Hello and happy summer! ^^

We - hoshisenshi & Kasawa Lanford ^^ - the mods of the Anything Goes board I'd like to do some summer cleaning here. This board is one of the largest in the forum  with 7 pages of 163 or so topics, second only to the TRC Fan Creations board with 180+ topics. Many of these topics are either old and dead, or old and dead and don't belong there in the first place (mainly because new and more specific boards have opened up over time).

So, we could...

1. Delete anything over two weeks old.

2. Delete everything from page 5 on.

3. Delete all the irrelevant topics (things related to anime, manga, etc.) from page 5 on. Deleting the irrelevant topics will leave some of the topics that look like they could be used again... but then again new topics can always be made again when needed.

4. Hai! I have another suggestion. Yes! We'd love to hear it. ^^ Please post it, ne?

I voted for anything over two weeks old. There are too many topics that give newbies a chance to up their post count

Well, in the sub-forums I moderate, I usually go back a couple of months and archive the rest. The ones with less than 5 posts get deleted. I likes my places neat and tidy

I agree. Don't DELETE. Use that Archive. That's what it's there for.

I think you should Archive everything on Page 4 and later.
Like Arcademan said, Delete those with 5 or less posts.

Ummmm I hope it's ok I vote here. Even tho I'm new, I know quite a bit about cleaning up forums seeming I belong to at least 50 lol. Anyway I voted for 2 weeks! ^_~

I agree. Don't DELETE. Use that Archive. That's what it's there for.

Thanks VexNet and Arcademan! I totally forgot about the Archive board. Heh, so let's just replace that word 'delete' with 'archive.' ^^; And I also like the idea of deleting topics with less than five posts. ^^

I'm glad to see that quite a few people voted. I'll leave the poll going until tomorrow (Saturday) and then the cleaning will commence! ^^

Okay. Out of 17 votes, looks like the 'page 5 and on' won. I'll be archiving those, and deleting ones with less than 5 posts.

People, keep in mind. Though a topic gets archived, it can be revived so if the topic does not appear on the first 5 pages, it still may be around. Use the search function when possible
