Yeah, I'm pretty sure the Piffle brand/name thing is one of those reoccuring details CLAMP likes to add in alot of their series to link them, much like the block of flats that they often use as a home for the main character (Hideki in Chobits, Kobato in Kobato and Watanuki in HOLiC etc.). It's not just exclusive to the xxxholic<>TRC crossover

I'm pretty sure Watanuki just bought the thing at his local retailer of Piffle Princess goods, rather than importing it from Piffle World via Yuuko, so I'd say it's just another reappearance of the brand, not a TRC crossover (the company and its products appear in Angelic Layer, Chobits, XXXHOLiC, TRC, and Legal Drug, that I can think of off the top of my head).

I agree with that view. Since, Legal Drug and xxxHolic are in the same universe (Watanuki went to the Green Drugstore to buy hangover medicine for Yuuko), it figures that there would be a Piffle Princess outlet in that world.

somethings curious tho...doumeki is helping watenuki collect the well water...but how does he get it to yuuko's shop? doumeki cant enter her shop, so des he follow watenuki to her gate, and doumki just stand there and wait for watenuki to take the jug from him? O_o

Also... laughs for the Holic episode with Watanuki buying hair clips for Zashiki Warashi, and Doumeki asking Watanuki if he was going to wear them himself.

I love Watanuki/Doumeki. They are such an OTP. I actually like them better than Kazahaya and Rikuo. (My favorite LG pairing is Kakei/Saiga.) I do believe they will be canon. I think there's been more than enough subtext and hinting, to the point that I read xxxHOLiC as a WataDomeki fan, just like I read TRC as a KuroFai shipper. Yuuko is my hero... I love all the shoujo-ai fanservice she has with her customers, as much as I love Yuuko/Clow.

The HOLiC anime IS better than the Tsubasa anime... but the biggest problem with the HOLiC anime is that the animation is often TERRIBLE. Terrible, terrible, terrible. That's what I mind the most, even as much as I hate the fact that they have apparently tried to 'lighten' HOLiC.

Just read entirety of Holic in one day...Now I'm up to speed! I should've been reading this all along!  As to the poll question, I don't see there being another option but that they're canon.  That, to me, is like asking if Hideki and Chi are canon halfway through the series...No they haven't confessed or anything, but the story is quite obviously about them and their relationship.  It is different that TRC, where Kuro and Fai are just side characters, the main story is getting Saku's feathers back, and their romance is just a side bonus; to me, Wata/Dou IS the story in Holic..anyone else agree/disagree?

Oh, as to Piffle Princess, it's in CCS too!

I agree, Kirtai. Watanuki and Doumeki's relationship is the only one that we see going through significant change. Himawari and Watanuki's relationship remains virtually unchanged since the beginning of the story. Yuuko and Watanuki's relationship is another important one, but the obvious focus has been on the development of the DouWata relationship, whether you see it as romantic or no.

If you read Holic believing that Doumeki is in love with Watanuki, it makes perfect sense within the context of the story, and even gives Doumeki a bit more depth.
