I'm thinking my theory that "freetime and time" part that was said in Tsubasa as Syaoran's payment for Watanuki was right, when Yuuko said it took him a long time to pay it.  This gives a whole different dimension to R!Syaoran in Tsubasa, and also ties Watanuki into the plot of that series.

He may like Himawari, but he can't be alone with her, he'd die in that case.  Doumeki still has to be with them.

well I'm waiting for the Japanese scans because we don't know what really say on "like" of course like can be friends or more than that. So I'm still hoping that Watanuki tries to comfort Himawari but based of what I've seen in the translation, I think it's more than that... so

Well, in Tsubasa she said:

"Your price...has already been paid.  Your "relationship".  As well as 'freedom' and 'time'."

I'm guessing the latter half is for Watanuki.  All this definately explains the look he gave Watanuki in xxxHolic right before he left though.  Does this mean he willingly let himself be locked up for all those years? o_O

... Doumeki was right, he is an idiot. It was so sad, to see him waiting outside the room, covered with Watanuki's blood, collapsed and sweating (he looked a lot like Fai a few chapters ago). And he is the last person Wata asks for. 
Anyway, there are a few things: about the finger, is it possible that he can't move because he is not being honest (like the woman of the beginning of the series)? And now Yuuko says that Doumeki and Himawari are customers of the shop, until their wishes are granted... does it mean they have other wishes?
I'm sad, but I don't want to lose the hope.... DouxWata forever!!!

Let's say I'm a person reading the whole series for the first time. Let's say I'm not a Donuts fangirl right now. I would say, "Why the hell do you let yourself get impaled time and again for this idiot?! Just what the hell does he mean to you?!"

My favourite bits from this chapter is Doumeki and Watanuki falling asleep at the same time (awwww!) and Doumeki telling Himawari that all three of them have to eat lunch together!

The Doumeki/Himawari thing is important because Doumeki hasn't really interacted with her before (unless is directly involved Watanuki) so for him to say that he wants her to hang around still a huge leap in their friendship.

And all three of them being friends leaves the relationships ambigous...although I don't see this chapter as being a Watanuki/Himawari shippy chapter, just a friendship one.

I had no doubt at all that Watanuki would insist on staying friends with Himawari.  That is just who he is.  He is willing to suffer for others (this, the ghost woman, Doumeki's eye...) so he won't let Himawari be lonely if he can help it.

Now that Himawari and Watanuki have had their heart to heart I can't wait for Doumeki and Watanuki to have theirs...especially now that Doumeki can ENTER THE SHOP!!!!!!!!!!
