The CCS gang's lives as adults...

(1/7) > >>

Takeru:
I wanted to see what you guys thought Sakura would be when she grew up.

The ending to the series left Sakura and her friends to be blessed with eternal youth. They never grow up, you never see them as adults, and the only major event that shows that they're now older is when Syaoran and Sakura both appeared in their junior high uniforms at the end of the manga. But we never really saw them as teenagers or adults outside of fanfiction.

So let's all share what we see and believe to be their future. I've come up with a few scenarios, each more unlikely as the next... but I'll only show the first one, since the second one might be a bit... politically touchy. Lots of war stuff, nothing too violent (no one dies), but it miiight be too related to current events to be allowed here. XD

So I'll just show you the most reasonable scenario: international pop-culture idol. Kinomoto Sakura, with her debut as the criminal's younger sister in the high-school production Saigo Jiken no Meitantei (which becomes a hit among indie film developers for excellent acting and great on-screen chemistry), becomes a national pop-culture icon for her cute looks and sugary sweet voice. After revealing her secret to both her friends and family, Daidouji Sonomi uses the Daidouji family fortune to fund the filming of a new movie. The screenplay, written and directed by Daidouji Tomoyo and spanned across five movies, stars Sakura as herself in a story about capturing and converting strange cards released from a mysterious magical book. No CG is used in the film, nor is a professional crew onstage, all of it being replaced with Sakura's own movie magic and her friends as the cast. The film trilogy is distributed by in-house publisher Daidouji Studios, a division of Daidouji Toys Incorporated. She becomes internationally known across the world, with critics such as Vincent Canby and Roger Ebert touting the Card Captor Sakura trilogy as having "amazing effects", "most compellingly realistic fantasy storyline", and "best actor and supporting actors". The movie industry is boosted incredibly by the box office charts, with her movie trilogy toppling blockbusters such as Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and Titanic. Merchandise, including dolls, coffee mugs, and cigarette lighters, is fashioned after her likeness, and everywhere she travels she is besieged by ecscastic fans. Hideo Kojima produces an action-platforming RPG hybrid game based on the Metal Gear Solid engine that blows the sales charts. Her music gives courage, her movies bring hope, her fashion style and merchandise boosts world economy by fifty percent; she becomes the richest woman on Earth. After her retirement, she works together with Bill Gates to bring twenty African and two Asian third-world countries to healthy economic status. Her name soon becomes synonymous with legend, and she goes down in history as one of the world's greatest idols.

Hmm... I wonder if I should start writing fan-fiction.

Oh well, anyways, let your imagination soar, and have at it!! =D

Moved to the CCS Board.

I actually, have never thought about this topic... deep enough at least. >< Your idea is super. Sounds like Sakura would be very successful. It would make a great fanfiction. :3

I've read a fanfiction called Kokoro no Hon (which I haven't read the ending yet) about Sakura growing up to be a writer. Actually... it may have been an alternate universe fic since she and Syaoran were so OOC, but it was pretty interesting.

Ando:
Interesting theory... but that, to me, seems more like a Tomoyo-daydreaming-about-Sakura's-future scenario. She would no doubt be on the seventh cloud if that came true. I can't really picture Sakura as world famous - she is a bit too shy and modest for that.

I'm positive that Sakura's future job would somehow involve people. She couldn't possibly succeed as a shrink, methinks, nor with helping criminal youths or suchlike (I'm thinking she would fare badly being surrounded by all that anger, hate and misery, but on the other hand, she might be able to work magic with them - no pun intended). But perhaps... helping mentally challenged children or working in a kindergarten would suit her? Ah, that sounds so unglamorous and underpaid a living for our dear Sakura-chan, but I do think that's a job that could make both her and the kids very happy. Of course, she would be mightily famous and well-loved in her neighbourhood for being such a little sunshine - even in neighbouring cities she would be a living legend: "Sakura-chan? Oh, you mean the Sakura-chan!". ^^

How about the futures of the rest of the CCS gang? Or should I make a new thread about that?

By the way, Takeru, I'm always so impressed by your posts! Lenghty, excellent grammar and spelling, and interesting to read. Keep it up! :okay:

Actually, a kindergarten teacher really would suit dear Sakura-chan. In kindergarten there's a lot of arts and crafts, and I can certainly see her doing that... since she was pretty into the arts and crafts (sewing) when she was younger. I could also see her giving little individual talks to the kids that are having a hard time, cheering them up, and encouraging them. Plus, it is pretty modest and honest enough for her.

..And I'm sure she'd use her cards once in a while for a little help. ^___~

Maybe we should change it to the whole CCS gang... I'd sure love to see discussion on the rest of them too. ^^

Then what are we waiting for (Takeru's approval, maybe, but I can't see why he would mind)?

Whom should we start with... Tomoyo, perhaps? What do you think of her future?
