I'm at a loss of words; I think I've been staring at that splash page for five or six minutes now. I love how you use red in your colourings - again, it's just... wow. As for the previous pic, I think you should have made Kurogane's face a bit more angular, but the coluors are amazing as always, and I find that style he's drawn in so adorable.

Would you mind terrible if I saved some of your pictures to my computer, to look at from time to time? Naturally I wouldn't re-post them anywhere or claim them as my own.

Ah, for the Kurogane pic.. Quite a few people said the same thing. In my original sketch his face was more angular.. but it looked pretty daft, so I changed it. Plus you cant see the edges of his face where his cheekbones would be because of the ninja headgeary thingy, so yeah. It looks less angular than it should.
And sure, you can save anything you want~ Repostings fine too X'D It's nice when more people look at stuff I've drawn/coloured.

D: your version rocks though~
As for how I colour - I use photoshop 7.0 (which I've used for.. uhh.. six years now I think. And in those six years I've messed around with different brushes and such, so I'm very much used to the program.).
 I put the scan (all cleaned with brightness/contrast) on the topmost layer and set the layer to multiply. Then I colour underneath xD Uhm.. Lots of layers. Using a custom brush that I made thats a bit softer and more natural than the ones that are preprogrammed into photoshop. And I also do a few layers above the scan, for highlights and other details and such. Usually I end up with like.. 20 layers. (and thats with merging similar layers every now and then, too).
Oh yeah! And before I start colouring I usually make the whole image bigger to like.. 3000px high. The folder the image was in ended up being about 300mb by the end, after saving to multiple names in the process .__.

*cough* So yeah. Photoshop 7.0 XD

don't cry...you only have to practise, dear. I'm not a perfect painter with this program yet, I've to discover virgin zones of it!! XDDDD

Mostly I use a brush that I made myself last year, but sometimes I switch to the photoshop presets depending on what sort of line/texture I'm going for. It's all about experimenting really.

And 20 isnt that much.. when Im doing a drawing from scratch I can get up to 70/80. I'm not particually organised XD I just keep adding more and more layers.
