its my 1st poll~

juz thought of this Q when i saw the cosplay links~juz curious, i've entered an anime expo without a cosplay juz to know...i'll need company if i'm to go dressed up~

so i can hide~*

i felt awkard when every i look at the cosplayers~

full of awe and envy...but the anime expo is not juz for cosplays, there are animes to check out as well, it was great and i cant wait the next time i'll go to another anime expo~

*thats my 1st time actually*

forgot to add that i spent all of my 3mth's worth of savings on the stuff there~ mostly posters and itsy bitsy stuff that bit me~

There was an anime expo recently in Phoenix but I couldn't atend it. Never been to one let alone dressed for one

naw...i got my camera but i dint quite dare to take pics coz i'm afraid i might offend some cosplayers...eehehhh~~even if i had the pics, i dont have a scanner *sobs*

I've never gotten to do an anime cosplay, but I was a gypsie Kitsune for the Medieval Fair last year... I shall try to dig up a pic.

IÂ´ve cosplayed a few times like Nurse Joy, ramdom serafuku girl, random Hogwarts student, Rei Hino PGSM school uniform version and Sakura from the second movie. though I canÂ´t say IÂ´ve really worn them for an "expo". "Anime conventions" as they call it in here are much more like "anime marketplaces" instead of organized expos.

thats some cosplaying....*envious*...compared to me, i cant thread a needle without poking myself....*sigh~*

there was once i was really tempted to buy a costume *i think it looks like an acolyte fr RO* after i juz went to the anime expo, but it costs a bomb...come to think of it now, i'm not sure if i'll dare to wear it even if i bought it~

Don't really like cosplay....when people fail to look anything like the character, they dishonour the anime!

That's my opinion, anyway. If people like it, then I hav no prob with that.

I would have liked to have done both.
I really wanna cosplay Rinoa from FFVIII. I don't know why but I just loooooooove her blue duster and arm guards.
But I'm no where near any conventions or expos....so I'd have nowhere to show my lovely outfits off.
Plus, I would probably mess it all up and not look like anyone since I can't make anything worth a damn.

In the past, i was quite busy with my studies and also can't even sew. But i really like to go and see a cosplay exhibition.

not really, my friends have done really much more cosplay than me ^^u

I canÂ´t sew either ;_; somebody else did them for me. I make the accesories and all that stuff but canÂ´t take credit for the sewing ^^u

I've gone to 1 anime expo (or convention). It was the first one ever in my state, seriously! I went with my good friend, actually, I ran into her at the expo and hung out with her for the next 2 days.

Anyway, I didn't Cosplay at the convention. i did dress up like Pan from Dragonball GT for Holloween 2 years ago though, does that count?

Personally, I think some characters in anime are just too hard to cosplay as, so when people dress like them, they look really weird. My friend and I ran into person cosplayed as Sakura (CCS), Tomoyo (CCS) and Tomoyo (TRC) and they didn't look all that bad!

I was thinking about making one, but looks like I don't have to!

Yes, I've went to a meeting(is it called anime expo?...) and cosplayed!

It's waaay more fun
to see cosplayers for real than on photos... It was so fun! *.*
I have also cosplayed without going to an expo... A group of friends and I are planning to make our own
cosplay-day, where we go dressed like that in town the whole day, even acting as the characters we're dressed up as!

Yes, sometimes I think like that too! The can at least try some make-up...

Cosplay isn't fun if
the person really isn't anything near looking like the charakter it's supposed to be dressed as.

For those of you who live in the UK I am going to the London Expo on October 29th-30th.
I am going with a group of friends and for me this is the first time I am attending an Anime convention so I am so excited.
My friends are cosplaying as characters from Hellsing (I think)
