Vampire rules in Animes/mangas

many mangakas have their own rules for vamiprism. i only know 3 vampire stories/series, so why not people lst some?

the way you do it is "title of series" mangaka then list the rules.

IE:

"A Toast to the Nape of your neck" (oneshot) by Maki Murakami
AKA Kanpai (series following above)

vampires can be in the sunlight.
vampires can consume human food (i saw one drink a juice box)
Vampires are animic when their hungry
If the vampire does not eat, he becomes severly weak, and loses his excelerated healing power.
Vamped out they have fangs, long claws and pointy ears
they do NOT eat to kill, only to feed.
they also can levitate

Vampire --- my favorite theme in both anime/manga....

my favorite is black blood brothers ... Its action based anime with some comedy....

if the protagonist is a vampire .... he must be
 --- cool, good looking and cute (if girl)
  --- able to boost his/her strength/power when fed with blood... unless the vapire feed the victim his/her blood too.
 --- protagonist won't kill his victim only the villian will ...
 --- victim won't become a vampire when biten by them
 --- they can tolerate the sunlight as long as they have an unbrella.

Karin-Chibi Vampire (anime/manga) by Yuna Kagasaki

vampires can be in siunlight for only a little bit, they will be burned and have to sleep it off in their coffins
vampires are each drawn to a specific personality in blood: IE stress, misfortune and even love
vampires can comsume, but human food has no flavor
they cannot stand garlic because of it's smell. (vamps have heightend senses)
vampires controll bats
fangs are ever present, but are tiny when not feeding
vampires also have ability to erase ONLY short-term memory, either with bats or by hand. this is so they can keep out of human society when feeding. the longer the person knows of something, less likely it to be erased.

 yuna-san also has a "reverse vampire" or "blood-maker" theyre basically like humans(can be in sunlight, no heightend senses), only with fangs and excess blood. the blood grows when near a person that has their blood preference, and they have to inject the person rather than suck from them.

-- vampire comedy shoujo....

the vampire is a ....
 - a personal slave....
- when he fed  blood.... the victim will fall in love with him.
 - does not afraid of sunlight.... actually he become a history teacher in day time.
- the vampy has two personal helpers that can transform into kid form ( one control fire and another control ice)
- feed blood to boost his power but he loose his mind too  therefore the master has to kill him with wooden nail and revive him with a drop of her blood.
- turn into ash when died but able to return back in human form when a master make a contract with him with her blood

addition to Kanpai!: vampires have the power to alter memories, and can hypnotise.
they also choose mates for life (that person being their source of food) blood is also a power source, if seriously injured, blood restores and heals the injury.
vampires have permanant longevity. they age until their powers fully awaken, then the process ends.
- crucifix = BAD
- magic circles = BAD


addition to Karin (just reread one) Vampires CAN erase complete memory. (COMPLETE tabula rasa) this is a threat held over Kenta's head should he betray Karin's secret.

there are a couple things i got wrong regarding the hypnotism/miond erasing thing, the vamp in question CHOSE not to alter their memories so they could help his son.(who's a halfa)

anyways, let me go again, this time with CLAMP's vampire

sunlight, holy water and crusifix are OK. they dont do anything.
longevity, NOT eternal life
excelerated healing.
blood main source of food, unknown about human food.
pure blooded vamps (very rare, espcialy twins) are the strongest, over sired ones.
sireing happens the usual way, human consumes vampire's blood.
speed, agility and (long, saber-like) claws are main powers.

now comon people, theres gotta be lots more vampire stories!!

tho the edit button is back, to add on to chibi vampire:

vampires are immortal. they DO age, but the process seems to stop around 25. the only way known so far for them to die is dehydration (asside from being burnt to death by the sun)
they also dont have to be awake all the time. they can spend long periods of time in their coffins, but must arise to feed or else theyll die.

crucifix has no affect on them. vampires are basically athiests, so they dont really care about christ XD

the only vampire is Guilt na Zan and he has many powers. in his natural form he can summon lightning, control the beasts of the night
power of hypnosis: can enter a persons conciousness.
once he gave a bat the ability to turn into a man
In his OTHER form: can create any type of sweets out of air.
accroding to GnZ, vampires can take energy from any nature (and demonstrates by wilting a flower) but human blood gives extra power.

he also states his magic derives from the element fire.

weaknesses :
sunlight only weakens (i think)
holy items are dangerous.

-Pure blood vampires have special abilities.
-Pure blood vampires can control other vampires who are not pure blood.
-If a vampire drinks a pure blood vampire's blood, they will have their power.
-All ex-human vampires will become a class E ( class E is a class for ex-human vampires who have gone insane)
-If an ex-human vampire drinks a pure blood vampire's blood, it will take a longer time for them become class E.
-Vampires wont turn to sand when in day light but gets hurt or something...
-Those who aren't ex-human vampires wears some skin thingy that makes them look like human.
-Pure blood vampires can't die easily.

You should read "Millennium Snow" by Bisco Hatori. The vampire character, Toya (yes...his name is Toya....lol) experiences all those. Especially since he doesn't like blood, he is always falling on his face when he becomes weak. xD

Additional info regarding that:

- A certain clan of pure-bloods has the ability to change a person's race from a vampire into a human in exchange for his/her life
- Whoever was turned human from being a vampire can regain his/her memories of being a vampire by receiving blood from the kin of the one who sealed them
- Certain vampires can transfer from one body to another
