Well, that just took me 6 attempts with sendspace.  I can't believe that I'm the first one to mirror the yousendit download.

Show contentFay!  With long hair!  (hey, it's MY length!  let me brush it!)  There isn't really a lot to say on this chapter.  We are getting lots of hints about things but the only solid plot we are getting a clue into is Fay being a prisoner.

Gah, CLAMP do this too often.

Show contentAbout all the Sakura/Fainess...

I think Sakura's the only one who Fai feels it's safe to care about openly.

Kurogane's way too close and it freaks him out, so he's pushing him away. He crossed the line with Kurogane so he's trying hard to re-establish that line. He's probably still not entirely sure about Syaoran. It seems like he recognizes that they're the same, but Syaoran DID rip his eye out. And it's harder to be all cuddly with a boy.

And Kurogane gave up his blood for him. So I think that their relationship is probably still going to be the most significant. And Sakura heals everyone because that's what Sakura does.

Running off your convo...someone also brought this up @ a LJ commnunity, which I felt was very well put.

Show content"Fai, who finds it difficult enough to trust in people, was “betrayed” by Clone!Syaoran and punished for his trust by the loss of his left eye, of half his magic. He was “betrayed” in his own mind by Kurogane, by being kept alive, and by turning into a vampire.

Sakura, the delicate cherry blossom with the huge heart, is the only one who hasn’t “betrayed” him. The appeal of Sakura’s character is her goodness and her sense of justice, which is something real, and something that Fai needs right now.

So Fai’s intent to go after Sakura in 132 demonstrates a purely selfish impulse to protect the only person one Fai can allow himself to care about without fear or complications."

-ish....maybe...?

Oooh, I didn't think of it that way. Makes sense now. xP

Jeannette:
...Dude, Fai's hair. Now -that- is what I call hair.

I really love this chapter. Finally some genuine backstory for Fai. <3

And of course it will be Kurogane who'll 'save' Fai, if you want to put it that way. It wouldn't fit with the story if it were Sakura. (Which is why the whole Sakura Croft adventure annoyed me. But yeah.)

...it annoyed you?

Aww.  I just noticed that Sakura's eye is all bloodshot in the splash :(
