To all latin americans out there...

I would like to know what are your thoughts/opinions about Norma Editorial, they are the ones that translate the TRC manga to spanish, and they've done it up to volume 12 i think

I bought volume 7 and I'm thinking about getting the rest from them. So far the translations have been good, although they don't keep honorifics in and it seems they removed kuro's nicknames. Also, Sakura calls Syaoran "muchacho"(boy). I would like to know how good are the translations of the other volumes

Well Norma Editorial, is from Sapin, and not from latin america, I'm going to put  a list of the publishers in latin america. I'm from Mexico, and I like the translation they put here, they put all kurogane nicks, and "Editorial Vid" keep the syaoran-kun from sakura

Publisher of the TRC manga in latinamerica
Mexico  "Editorial Vid" (in spanish)
Brazil "Editora JBC" (in portuguese)

And i don't know if "Editorial Ivera" in Argentina is doing the manga, but the oficial ones are México and Brazil.

I hpe this works for you

Well, so far I've only seen Norma Editorial, I know they're from Spain but I thought they were the only ones translating in spanish. I'll try to look for that mexican publisher though, cause I don't like the spanish accent(they don't use expressions like "ostias!" or words like "tio", but the verbs verbs are expelled in a spanish way, like "haceis")

oh and btw, we don't get to see Fai calling Kuro by one of his nicknames in volume 7, so I don't really know if they removed them or not ^^

No in the Mexican version thy don't put expressions like the Spanish ones, is like... neutral, I don't Know, I'm Mexican and between the Spain translation and the Mexican, I like the most the Mexican one, when I buy manga that is not publish in México I rather buy in English than in the Spain version.

And the manga is very Cheap, is 55pesos (like 5olars, or 4.5 american dolars more or less)

I would order the English version by amazon but it's cheaper to get the Spanish version from Norma Editorial, and i haven't seen that mexican publisher yet. Overall I think the translation is pretty good, but i would like to hear more opinions before I buy the other volumes

Cool, in my country (Puerto Rico) they are bringing Norma Editorial translation of many mangas. I've seen 'Rave Master', 'Tokyo Mew Mew', and others, but I haen't seen TRC yet. Are the covers the same? Is it cheaper? But I really don't like it in spanish, I prefer it in english. XD

Well, the covers and every thing are the same as the japanes one. I'll put the page of editorial vid, so you can judge by your self is it good or not, but I think is a good translation, I've seen the raw mangas (japanese language) and I have compare the mexican ones, and they are good, I only know a litlle japanese, but with my japanese teacher he said that is a good transation.

here's the page of Editorial Vid in México: http://www.mundovid.com
or just put in your web browser "Mundo Vid" and do click in the 1st option.

I hope this help.  :hello2:

Norma Editorial has the same covers for the manga, they also refer to Syaoran as Xiaolang. I guess the price depends, but I can find Norma Editorial's version for a cheaper price than DelRey and Editorial Vid(wtf 300 pesos to chip to Venezuela!!)
