End of Nihon? Will CLAMP do that?

This has been bothering me for QUITE a while....since CLAMP seems to be heading that way....I want to know the opinion is.

Okay....Kendappa and Souma are a soulmate couple, right? And Tomoyo is said to be a lesbian [CCS reference] or is very happy just being single....and...if Kurogane does end up with Fai in the end....what will become of his country? Since as far as I see...only Tomoyo and Kendappa are the rulers....and if Kendappa is lesbian and Tomoyo is lesbian/single....who will rule after their deaths? Since they would have no heirs...no one to take over. After all, from what Kurogane's home looks like, it's more than likely similar to ancient Japan, where heirs would take over after thier parents' deaths. But if there are no heirs, no rulers, wont the kingdom end in chaos with no rule?

Also, will this be the end of Kurogane's family line? I just want to know if anyone else thought of this and if there is any solution?

And yes, I think too much....

The kingdom will pass to the next closest to royal family, or Tomoyo will be involved in some arranged marriage.

Are you implying that certain pairings would or wouldn't be canon, or that the sexuality of some characters would be changed because CLAMP doesn't want a fictional kingdom to have some troubles with rulers? Kind of silly, really. :/

The same could be said for the Sumeragi clan (TB/X) Hokuto died, Subaru is a mess, who will lead after Subaru?

I'm sure there's a whole family and line up behind the scenes that we don't see which we don't need to see.

Who's to say they don't have other sisters or brothers or cousins who would take after them?

If they did have brothers/sister/cousins, wouldnt they have been shown in Kurogane's past? Then again, we have no idea what happened within the castle walls after the incident...^^;;
