i was just curious... i was watching the first movie again yesterday :heh: and when yelan kissed sakura goodbye syaoran was really shocked and sakura blushed

i'm wondering about syaoran's reaction to her kiss, sakura was embarassed surely... any ideas anyone?

I think Syaoran was shocked because his mother is really hard on him, but seemed to accept Sakura right away...perhaps he was jealous?

I think Yelan did that to her cuz she somehow knows that she's meant to be with Syaoran...(well that's my theory ^^;) I can't really explain but something like that ^^; (or maybe i read to many fanfics :sweatdrop: )

Yeah, but you never know with Yelan...you get the impression that she can be very manipulative...perhaps, realising that Sakura would get the Clow Cards in the end instead of Li, she wanted to have an ally in the new Card Mistress?

i think another reaction was.....well, you know....Li's sisters are that crazy, glomping Sakura like that....then his mother, whom he always thought of as very.....solemn.....suddenly Kisses Sakura like that. You're sisters are another thing, but you're solemn mother?

Hmmm...*wheels turning*

Maybe...even though a lot of the time, Syaoran is the one protecting Sakura. If the kiss was a thankyou, it was probably more likely to be thanking Sakura for restoring Syaoran's emotions to him...you know, breaking through his cold shell?

they haven't gotten up to the 'breaking out of shell' thing yet have they? in the series that is...

yeah, i'm thinking yelan saw that sakura would be the one to get the cards...and kissed her for good luck??

or is it that sakura is so kawaii she coudln't help herself?

hmm....  i never thought about it.  my best friend and i just thought syaoran's reaction was priceless.  there's always the guess that she just wanted to see syaoran's reaction, but i don't really think that's it.  though, i'd just love to see syaoran's reaction if he was a real human, or maybe not since anime and reality don't exactly look the same.

My take on this is the same as Ruby Chan's. Syaoran's just probably shocked and became a bit jealous because of the nice treatment Sakura's getting.

As for the kiss, I've always believed that Yelan knew already what was coming for the couple so maybe she thought that a kiss would give a good impression on her would-be daughter-in-law. :D

I always assumed that Yelan knew what was going to come for Sakura and Syaoran....
So yeah, probably a thank-you for making Syaoran a relatively "normal" guy.....
