Lomachislots War - Lost Childhood (Original) ~

[Kasawa Lanford]

"T-thats good..." Rin said. She had sweat on her face, but thanks to the rain it was difficult, if not impossible to notice.

"Rin, how about we head home right now, we can visit Sakura tomorrow. Do you two boy's need me to call my mother and take you home, or do you live near by?" Rin's older sister asked them.

[Director of Music]

Andy smiled briefly.  "No worries ma'am, we can walk.  We're rather close by."  They waved to Rin, and headed off toward Andy's house. 

As they just exited the Phineas's breathing grew heavier and he stumbled.  Andy was throughly alarmed.  He grabbed Phineas just before you fell.  "Finny!  Finny?! You okay?"

Phineas just nodded painfully.  Andy looked at his friend and said, "You know...you don't have to be a hero right now.  You're in pain.  My dad'll know what to do."

Phineas winced at the word 'dad'.

Rin watched them leave. "What's wrong?" she heard her big sister say.

She blinked. "N-nothings.. wrong..." Rin said, her voice low and trembling.

"No, something IS wrong!" Her sister said and knelt down in front of her. She placed her hand on Rin's head, "your burning up... but you were fine before."

Rin slapped her head away. "I'm fine!" she said in a louder voice before staggering and collasping onto the wet mud.

"Rin!" Her big sister shouted and knelt down and cropped Rin's head up with her hand. "Rin! Wake up!" she shouted.

She took out her cell phone and called her mother, but only got a dial tone. "Errr... crap," she said. Rin began to breath heavily, gasping for air in some cases. She looked around but didn't find anyone who could help her, so she did the only thing she could do and called for an ambulance.

Andy barely managed to get Phineas home.  Both boys were soaking wet.

Greg rushed how.  "Jesus, boys!  Andy, what's going on?"

"It's Finny...I think he's hurt.."

Mr. Baldwin gently took Phineas from Andy and layed him on the couch.  Phineas winced slightly when there was pressure on his rib.

"Hmm... I think he might have something broken.  A rib to be exact...What happened?"

Andy hesitated.

"What happened, Andrew.  Tell me immediately."

"HIs father...kicked him."

Andy's father stared at him.  "Kicked him?"  He sighed.  He turned away and began to work on Phineas

Rin's older sister waited until the paramedics arrived. They asked him what was wrong, but she couldn't tell them as she didn't know.

One medic took her temprature... and the gauge prompty exploded. Showing mercury across Rin's mouth.

"What the..." the medic said in disbelief as he placed his hand on her forehead. "Damn she's burning up, we need to get her to the hospital right now.." he said and they loaded her into the ambulance, not even bothering to use a streetcher. Rin's older sister went with as they sped to the children's hospital.

First Sakura, Now Rin.. and Phineas didn't look that good either... what is going on? Rin's older sister thought as she starred at Rin.

After working on Phineas for hours and with no better results, Andy's dad called the E.R.  He could have sworn it was just a broken rib, but Phineas's breathing had gotten weaker.  The E.R  came in a matter of minutes and took Phineas on a stretcher.  Andy and his father went in the ambulance with Phineas.

Once at the hospital, the doctors told Andy and his father that they would have to wait in the waiting area.

The doctors looked Rin over, not finding any physical reason for her to have problems breathing. "We can only assume its a virus thats she's contracted," the doctor said as he stared at her through the glass. "She'll be fine after a nights rest, but I want to keep her over for a couple days to be safe."

Rin's older sister nodded. "I'll let our mother know then,"

He nodded. "She'll have to stay on the breathing machine for about a day though, even though we can't find a physical problem, it seems that the lung just isn't providing enough oxygen for her.. its as if there's a hole in it that we can't find..." he rubbed his chin, thinking.

[Director of Music]

The doctor who was in charge of Phineas walked out.

"Mr. Baldwin?  I'm Dr. Reynolds.  Phineas is slightly better.  We did manage to fix his rib.  It's just his breathing that we're worried about.  It'll stablize for a moment, but then go into a frenzy, and then he'll hardly breathe.  We're doing everything we ca-"

Andy cut in.  "Can I go see him?"
The doctor looked down at the young boy.  "Yes, you can.  But you have to be gentle."  Andy nodded and ran to the room.  Mr. Baldwin shook hands with the doctor and nodded his thanks.  He followed Andy.

Inside, Andy was frozen in shock.  Phineas had an oxygen mask on him, a cast that covered his torso and lots of tubes.  His eyes were closed.  Slowly, Andy made his way foward to Phineas.  Andy's father stayed behind from the doorway, leaning against it.

"F-Finny?"  Andy asked hesitantly.

In another room, Sakura screamed in pain when she hit the ground. She had spent the past few hours trying to walk, but had fallen over several times. She cried, for she was in pain, but she also cursed herself for not being able to walk again.

WIth encouragement from her mother and several of her classmates, she held the rails tightly, a nurse was behind her helping her along.

Anise turned in her bed. "Mmmm....." she mumbled.

[Director of Music]

Phineas stirred.  In his subconciousness, he could hear someone calling for him.  He didn't want to wake up, this was peaceful.  However, the voice grew persistant.  He dully opened his eyes to see Andrew peering over him.  Phineas groaned.  "You'll never leave me alone, will you?"

Andy smiled happily.  "Glad to see you too, buddy."

Anise had arrived at the hospital, having heard what happened to her twin sister. Her mother brought her by, while Anise stayed by her twin sisters side, her mother talked to the doctor.

"Good day, Ms Outren." The doctor said and shook her hand. "My name's Doctor Laveren, I'm in charge of your daughters care here," he said.

She smiled. "How is she?"

"Well, as I told your daughter, shes doing fine but... her breathing is shallow and I've had to put her on an oxygen mask," said the doctor as he handed her his clipboard. "I see you still remember...."

"Four years ago you used to work here as a doctor.... you left though..." he told her. She nodded, "you know why I had to leave, the hospital couldn't afford to have someone who was into mercy killings..."

The doctor nodded. "If the person is going to die and requests that it be quick, I see no problem. After all they are prepared for it," he said.

She sighed. "Yes.. but thats not how our society works.."

He grumbled. "Yea... anyway, I think its best you take your other daughter home,"

"No... is it ok if she stays here? She freaked when she found her twin sister not home.." She asked.

The doctor sighed. "Alright, I guess there won't be a problem since there are adults here," he said.

She smiled and walked in to tell Anise that she could stay the night, the young girl was happy and laid her head on the bed.

Mr. Baldiwn asked if Andy would care to stay for the night.  Andy beamed.  "Yea!"  Phineas weakly rolled his eyes.  Andy's dad smiled and told Andy to be good and went off.  Andy grabbed an extra pillow and blanket and propped up on the couch slowly falling asleep.

Phineas was already in dream land.

DREAM STATE

Rin opened her eyes, only to find that she was standing on a field of Sakura flowers. "Wow..." she said and looked around. She wore a light blue kimono that covered the majority of her body.

As she looked around she soon found Anise laying on the ground. "Sis?" she said.

Anise blinked. "W-what are you doing in my dreams?" she asked nervously.

"Huh? But.. I thought this was my dreamm," Rin said, confused.

[Director of Music]

Phineas awoke on a field of flowers.  He was smartly dressed in a tuxedo.  He arched his eyebrows.  "My dreams get stranger every day..."

Andy rolled over and stood up.  He grinned as he saw Phineas.  "Hey Finny, nice suit."

Phineas groaned.  "In my DREAMS, too?"  But then he smirked.  "I wouldn't be talking, Andrew."

Andrew looked down and groaned.  He was wearing a tuxedo, but unlike Phineas who had a black bowtie, Andy had a red one.  Andy's hair was also combed.

The twins stared at each other before shaking their heads. "Ok.. this is strange.." they both said in unison and stared at each other again.

After a few minutes they decided to explore the field together, only to find Andy and Phineas. "You two are in our dreams to?!" The twins in unison, for the second time in less than ten minutes.

[Director of Music]

Andy grinned.  "YOUR dream? Man, if this were MY dream I'd wish for-"

"Oh shut up, Andrew."  Phineas groaned.  He then looked at the girls.  "This is getting stranger by the minute.  Are we supposed to do something?"

[Kasawa Lanford]

"Huh.. whaa? What are you doing in my dreams..." A very tired Sakura said as she walked up to the group. She wore a pair of light pink pajamas, splashed with cat heads and paws. She was rubbing her eyes as if so show how sleepy she was.

Anise and Rin looked at each other, "now this is getting strange," they both said, again, together.

Before anyone else could say anything; however, they were all enveloped in a bright white light. "W-what the..." Rin said as she covered her face, Anise and Sakura did the same. When the light vanished just as suddenly as it appeared, a young girl stood on the grass.

She wore a light blue kimono, it was adorned with different sizes of planets. The girl looked over her shoulder and at the three girls and two boys, she smiled and turend toward them, "Y-Yoko?" Rin said, Anise and Sakura blinked and looked at the girl. "It IS Yoko," they said.

[Director of Music]

Andy and Phineas's mouths were wide open.  Phineas blinked several times.  Then mainly to himself said, "It's a dream...my dream...right?  So...I guess I just imagined...all of them..."

Andy looked over at Phineas.  "Stop muttering to yourself, Finny.  Do you honestly think this is just YOUR dream?"  Phineas shrugged.  Andy unbuttoned his tux jacket and looked over at the group.

The girl gave a slight smile when she heard the name. "I look like Yoko, but I am not Yoko," she said.

Anise blinked. "Huh?" she said and placed a finger up against her chin. "But.. how can you be Yoko.. and not be..." she said confusingly.

She shook her head. "If thats the case then just call me Yoko," she said and lowered her head. "I'm sure you five have noticed some strange things going on.. yes? People suddenly being calm, relaxed... the strange incident at the auditorium...?" she said, eyes closed and hands clasped in front of her.

[Director of Music]

Andy arched his eyebrows when he heard 'people suddenly being calm'  because he remembered quite well that that had happened to him in the nurse's office.

Phineas frowned slightly as the mysterious girl talked about the "incident."

Andy spoke first in a cautious, yet friendly tone.  "Sure," He said, smiling, "We've noticed some strange things going on, but what's that have to do with us?  I mean, we've known each other for years.  S'about all."
