"Japanese and Creina," Anise said.

"I still don't understand why you have to learn that other country's language," Anise heard her big sister say while mixing up various powders.

Anise smiled. "Umm.. I'm sure the school has a good rea-" she said before her big sister turned to her and leaned over toward her. "There is NO good reason to learn a language you don't need," she said to her, her voice hinted that she was annoyed.

"Umm... err..." Anise said and grabbed Andrew's hand and yanked him up to the girls study room. The room had two desks, side by side. A book shelve had various texts on it, including Math books, science, over forty nine different language books, and more.

"This is our study, we do our home work here," Anise said.

Andy gaped at the books. "JEEEZ....You STUDY THIS MUCH?" A hint of the old self came back. "My god...this is incredibly ridiculous. Hrm...let's see...German, Italian, English, Japanese, French, Chinese....."

Anise smiled. "Our mother used to take us on archeological digs, so we had to learn a lot of languages to get by," she said and walked over to the book shelve and opened the german book. "But.. we haven't gone on many lately," she said and flipped through the pages.

"What about you Andy? You don't like studying?" Anise asked.

Andy grinned mischievously and cleared his throat.

"Je ne me soucie guère au sujet de Français.
Ich interessiere nicht mich für Deutschen.
No cuido alrededor de español para esa materia cualquiera

Although...I suppose I do have to care when my dad makes me."

I'm not interested in German
I don't care about Spanish for that matter either.

Anise giggled. She understood what Andrew had said, "don't say that in front of my big sister, she would give you a lecture," Anise smiled.

Just then a knock came to the door, "come in!" Anise said and her big siste walked into the room with a tray on her hand and two glasses and pitcher of juice on it.

She set the tray down on the table. "Dinner will be in the next few hours ok?" she told Anise who nodded, and then she left.

Anise sighed and took out a japanese language book and set it on the desk, she then went to her room and grabbed her school bag and brought it into the study and took out her homework.

Andy had smiled innocently as Anise's sister had walked in. He turned to look at Anise taking out her homework. He pulled up a chair beside her. "Hm... Let's see, this isn't to bad."

Anise smiled, she pointed at some of the words and tried to pronouce them, but she couldn't get it off her tongue.

After trying a few more times she got up from her chair and walked over to the table and poured her some juice, she took a sip and realized it was cherry. "Mmmm... Cherry Juice," she said and walked back over to her desk and sat down.

Rin was laying down on a bed, the room was well lit with four lights pointed at her. She was inside a machine which was rotating around her, the bed she was on moved forward and back every so often.

She was nervous, scared, she didn't know what it was doing, or why she was here. She had noticed a glass window when she came in, but it was one way glass so she couldn't see through it.

Behind that glass, two doctors looked at the information being displayed. "So... we found another?" a man behind them asked.

"Seem's so sir, this one's ten years old, the other one was nine..." the doctor said, "the nurse has already begun to admistrate the 'medicine' but it'll be rough for her."

"And?" The man said, now slightly annoyed.

"In about a week she'll begin to feel very sick, vomiting, and what not, as the medicine goes through her body and destroy's any trace of a magi gene... of course... it'll also cause damage to her heart and lungs, and she'll suffer from memory problems...." the doctor said, he didn't sound the least bit concerned about how he was close to killing someone.

The man scowled. "Up the dose..."

This time the two doctors turned to look at him. "But that would kill her!" one objected. "You're point? We can't have these magi freaks in our society, best to take them out before they blossom.. now do it," he said.

The doctors looked at each other, then sighed and made the request. Rin felt something before she fell asleep.

In her hospital room, a nurse injected her two times with a strange red liquad. As she left, someone appeared by her bed side. "How gross..." the girl said and placed her hand over Rin's chest. "While I can't stop you from getting very sick, I can stop the 'medicine' from destroying what you are," she said as a faint green glow appeared for several seconds before dissipating.

She then vanished.

Phineas stood outside for a full 5 minutes contemplating what to do. He decided to sneak back inside to see Rin. However, as he walked back in, the place was eerily quiet. There was no sound as Phineas made his way to Rin's room. To his shock, she wasn't there. Shivers ran through his back as the room looked like as if no one had been there just 5 minutes before.

Andy smiled. He pronounced the words for her slowly in order for Anise to get the pronounciation.

Anise blinked before saying them, she gave a cher when she managed to get them right. "Yay!" she said, and wrote them down, then she looked at Andrew to see if the spelling was right.

"Who are you looking for?" A nurse said, noting Phineas standing in front of a vacant room.

Andy smiled. "Yeah, that's right."

Phineas jumped, startled. He turned to stare at the nurse. Surprising himself, he grew taller, at least 6 ft tall, he started growing greys on the side of his hair, his voice was deeper. Without hesitancy he said, "I'm looking for Rin Outren."

The nurse, full of fear now, pointed down the hall. "S-she's on the fourth floor resting, room thirty one" she said and backed away.

Anise smiled. She turned the page and then came upon some harder words, she had tried to pronouce them but failed miserably. "err... uhh... egh..." she said as she tried but sighed when she couldn't get the words out.

Phineas bowed his head slightly. "Thank you, ma'am." He walked up to the 4th floor and glided down to room 31. He knocked softly and turned the doorknob.

Andy encouraged her. "Don't worry, these are a bit harder, but they don't change much. See?" He pointed, "That word has the same root as this one."

Rin slept soundlessly in her bed, unaware of what had gone on. She was having a pleasant dream, in her hands was a stuffed kitty cat that she hugged tightly.

She nodded. "Ahhh.. so thats why I kept messing up..." she said and wrote it out. "I wonder why they are having us write such difficult words when we are only fourth graders?" she said, noting that at the top of the page it said 'seventh grade work'

Phineas walked in slowly, not making any sound. He sat at the edge of Rin's bed, watching her peaceful face.

Her eye's opened just enough to where she saw a blurry image, she was able to recongize the boy's features as that of Phineas. "Oh... Phineas...." she said tiredly, "w-what are you doing here?"

Phineas had unnoticably changed back to his normal self. He smiled slightly. "I couldn't just leave you here."

Rin smiled weakly. "I'm fine.. just tired is all... it's getting dark..." she said and raised her shacky arm at the window, outside the sun was starting to go down. "I'm tired..." she said and brought her arm but under her face and soon went back to sleep.

Phineas watched her close her tired eyes and pulled the covers up for her. He pulled up a chair and sat, keeping an eye on her. However, soon he could barely keep his eyes open as he drifted off to sleep too.

Anise smiled, she didn't like hearing the 'fail' word and avoided it. "I-it's getting late," Anise said when she noticed that the sun was going down.
