Lurea almost knew that Phineas was going to ask for them all. "I can explain a few things, but some are better explained by the elders," she said as she looke to her right. Outside the stealth field a group of foriegn soldiers ran past the alley were they were hiding. One soldier stopped, raised his rifle and scanned the alley with the rifle's powerful light.
After two minutes the soldiers lowered his rifle, turned to his right and said something that none of them could hear before running off. As they watched them leave Lurea let out a low growl that made Anise shiver. She let a minute pass before turning her attention back to the boys and their questions, "I can't really explain the magic part very well, espically since the person most fluent in it is asleep right here," she said and looked down at Yoko.
Anise blinked and placed her finger up to her chin and asked. "How come?"
"Yoko.... is a special case within our group; she's the most knowledgable about magic and as such, retains a high position. However, she's also one of the youngest in terms of apperence," Lurea said. Anise just nodded, she didn't really understand much but was trying. "There's a history behind Yoko, but it would take a long time to explain, it'll be best to wait until we get to our world," she said and relaxed her hand. "My collegue and I are apart of a 'rescue' team, Yoko is also a member as well as a few other people you might've met. We search for potential magic users like yourselves and try and protect you behind the scene's from those who would interfere with your lives. However, once you start showing magic then we usually jump in and either help you learn to control it... or to banish it," Lurea said.
Her partner shifted on his right leg in order to get more comfortable. "My name's Syran by the way," her partner said. He smiled slightly and looked away from the boys and toward the exit. "We can't explain how the process works, how a person is 'selected' to inherit the ability to use magic. All we know is that it just happens, you three, myself, Lurea... we've all been through the same process of discovering our powers. Each one of us has a unique ability that no one else has, Sakura is one of the examples, and perhaps is the one person who has a wide range of use's. As I'm sure you know her singing is beautiful, but she is also able to use it as a deadly weapon," he said before his head snapped to right and down the alley.
"What's wrong?" Lurea said, tension in her voice. "Trouble... seem's someone is using an anti-stealth spell to look for us, we have only a few minutes left before they find us. Lurea, I can't use Crisalise since I've using my current magic to keep Rin alive..." Syran said. Lurea nodded and stood up, "you boys want to know the full extend of a magi's power? Then watch and learn," she said and stepped out of the stealth field, which promptly collasped it.
She dipped her hand into her pocket and pulled out what looked like a small medallion, she then pulled out a second one from her other pocket and placed them on the ground. "Inheriters of the light, of power, of nature. Grant me thy armor, thy skin and bring upon thee my weapon," she chanted as the medallions glowed green before a power wave of energy lashed out. The shockwave shattered the windows, causing the glass to fall to the ground, yet strangely not toward the group.
Lurea's normal attire suddenly pulsed; her jacket vanished revealing a plain white shirt which also vanished and was then replaced by another shirt that was dark blue, shoulder pads appeared on her shoulders and chainamil along her arms. Her hands were covered in a gauntlet and her legs were covered in chainmail leggings.
On her face four long metallic bars appeared just under her eyes and nose and ran toward the back of her head where they disappeared under her long hair. In her hand a large staff materealized. She spun the staff around before taking a defensive stance, "this... is what it means to be a Magi..." she smiled, even though she knew they couldn't see it.
