Lomachislots War - Lost Childhood (Original) ~

Director of Music:
Andy expelled a breath of air, quite relieved.  He grinned at the twins and turned to pay attention; a bit more to the teacher

Andy was right about Phineas.  Back in the hospital ward, Phineas was thin lipped and pale, but was half arguing, half pleading with the woman in charge to let him go.

Kasawa Lanford:
"No," the female doctor said. "You've been through a lot, no level of pleading will work - and no level of magic will work either," she says and glares at him. "You want to attend that class yes, well while you can't attend it in person," she says and raises her hand.

A thousand small red, blue and white particles suddenly appear in the air and collect into what appears to be a small floating monitor. This monitor flickers to life and shows the field, along with the instructor and the students. "You can watch and you can learn from just observing," she tells him and turns her attention the monitor, though she does keep 'another' eye on Phineas.

--

"I wonder how Phineas is doing," Rin said as she listened to the teacher. Several students near her had summoned their staff's to show what the instructor was talking about. One student apperently casted what to be a shield, as thousands of small transperent gold squares appeared in front and around the student in a sphere. The other student, who appeared to be perhaps a year younger, also casted a shield but this shield came out in a light purple transperent Octogan that only appear in front of the student.

"The first shield you saw, that was gold, protects you against physical attacks. While the light purple barrier protects you against other magical attacks. Do note, that at this point most of your barriers won't be very powerful. Right now, your physical and magical barriers will not protect you from an attack used by an upperclassman, or a physical attack thrown by 'any' strong person. However, as you grow in both knowledge and magic, your barriers will gradually become stronger," she tells them.

She scan's the area of the students and then looks back at Andy, a grin forms on her face. "Andy, how about you stand up and tell the class what I just said please, but not the way I say it, but more how 'you' would it," she says to them and folds her arms over her chest. Beside her, both of her helpers watched with curious interest.

Director of Music:
Phineas was indignant.  Grinding his teeth down, he glared at the monitor.  But then cocked his head.  There was Andy.  Looked like the teacher was having quite a ball picking on him.  "You show her, Andrew.." He muttered.
---

Andy grinned painfully and stood up, walking towards the front.  Putting on that charming smile which was quite pleasant and had earned him that reputation, he spoke.

"Well..."  He said, using hand motions.  "Basically we have two types of defense mechanisms. Or shields.  Or barriers.  But both are quite useless to us, us first years that is, because we're basically vulnerable to all the upperclassmen who have more power than we do."  Andy grinned.
----

Phineas grinned slightly, trying to hold in the laughter that wanted to erupt from him.  Thatta boy, Andy...

Kasawa Lanford:
"Well said," the instructor said, putting on a smile before adding. "Please return to your seat."

As she watched him she then turned her attention back to the class and said. "Andy is right," she smiled. "Today you'll learning how to summon a shield and a barrier, you won't be learning how to cast them consecutively just yet, not until you've mastered your first part of training," she said and went back to her instruction.

---

The nurse didn't say a word; though she didn't need to. Anyone who knew her knew full well what she was thinking. "That's your friend I take it?" she said to Phineas.

Director of Music:
That's your friend, I take it?

Phineas paused, jaw locking.  Not looking at the nurse, he gave her ever so slightly a deft nod of his head.
----

Andy grinned, quite pleased with himself.  He sat down next to the twins, relieved that the spotlight was not on him again.  Honestly, these teachers.  Ha, they just couldn't resist this charming young boy.
