When I first started reading the Rayearth manga, I didn't really see anything special about it, but it really started to get more interesting by volume two, and I had a really hard time putting down volume three because I was just so wrapped into it. The ending to the first story arc was just so sad that I actually cried after reading it. It's probably my fav manga ending to date. My fav character is Umi just because, well, she's cool. ^^;; My fav of the antagonists is probably Caldina because she speaks the Osaka accent and I liked her illusion powers. I haven't seen all of the tvseries yet, but so far I like the manga more than the anime, especially the first season. The anime made a lot of changes to the storyline that I didn't like, and the ending to the first season of the anime just wasn't as good as the manga's version. However, the second season is definetly a lot better than the first and I really like the introduction of Nova. I also have the Rayearth OVAs, which I actually like more than the tvseries, but not as much as the manga. The animation and music in the OVAs were really good, and I really liked the more darker storyline. Some parts of it were a little confusing, but I still thought it was very good. The OVAs dub isn't too bad, either. The main thing I didn't like about the OVAs dub was how....the English VAs....sometimes talked....like this...can get... on your nerves....I never saw the dub for the tvseries though, so I can't comment on that yet.
