My fav now is Final Fantasy Tactics. I love strategizing the battles, and the story is complex.
My second fav is FFX because i love the story and graphics and ending.

I really liked FF7's story, so I can't wait to see Advent Children. My computer's too slow to download it, though. I guess I enjoyed all the FF games I've played except for X-2. I thought it kind of ruined X's ending. I mean I know X had a really sad ending, but it was very well done, and I think they should have kept it that way.

I've played some Final Fantasy games, but I didn't like them... Feels quite odd, when everyone's
saying that the games are wonderful. :tard:

well what didn't you like about them?
a lot of people say they don't like the fighting engine (thats why more people have been looking forward to FFXII)
some people say they don't like how it looks, like they are too cartoonish or unrealistic.
some people don't like the stories (but people who say that can't be bothered to play the game through)

I'm not sure at all... :tard: I thought I would like it, since I'm so fond of Squares Secret of Mana-series,
but it's something about Final Fantasy that doesn't speak to me... Is it the story? Or is it just too hard to level up?
Don't know...

So basically its fact you have to actually work hard on a game (!)
and that you don't like the story (?)

Maybe they're long and hard? It's quite a committment to play a Final Fantasy game. I remember staying up all night for weeks just to beat FF8 the first time through.

thats what makes it a good game, most games are over in a few hours. Final Fantasy you actually have to PLAY it.

That can be a flaw though, especially in the case of FFX-2. I didn't care about it anymore by the time I was in the middle of the game. You can lose interests in games if they get too long and repetitive and generally have no replay value. Of course the better Final Fantasy games don't fall into this, but too long of a game is even worse than short of a game. Short and sweet is the way to go, in my opinion.

how is FFX2 repetitive?
hardly, i'm at like freaking 99% and still finding new things in the game. the only reason I stoppd playing it and started to hate it was because of personal problems and situations.

There's barely any central storyline and all the mini-games seem like they're run off the same gameplay engine.

Blitzball....shooting creatures....... all that doesn't add up to a story.

I could say something but you're not worth it. Just back off.

Blitzball is fun but not part of the story. Neither is helping the guys with their concert or whatever nor is the shooting monsters part nor any of the other mini-games. Are you that dense to think it's all related to the Zanarkand-Bevelle War storyline? That isn't even touched on until the beginning and end of the game. That's why FFX-2 got so low ratings.

Woah! Cool it guys!
The game (like any other) had it's flaws and merits. Sure the plot hardly developed at all, but it was fun too play. I mean, it has a lot of replay value, because there are so many things you can miss, but after you get that you can easilly advance to the end. But they really could've worked on the story more, but...the game isn't that bad...

Anyways, as for final fantasy being hard, i don't think that's true. At least for me anyways...usually i'll only experience one or two hard bosses (or the extra optional boss which is stronger than the true boss). But the only hard one that i've played it FFTactics.
