Yeah, I agree completely. FFX-2 had very good gameplay but just not a sufficiently developed story.

And I guess the difficulty of Final Fantasy is dependent on how good of a gamer you are. You're pretty good if you can beat FF games fairly easy. It usually takes me a few weeks to complete a FF game, and I had to use a strategy guide to beat Tactics, so I guess I'm not that good at RPGs.

i loved FFX2 where if you kept finding the spheres you find out more about the backstory, its well worth the time playing it.

I'm pretty good at RPGs like Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts, I can complete them in a few days but give me a RP game like Strategy where you use a cursor and i'll fall defeat to everyone.

theres certain games i kick *** at and some i suck at, like i love my RPGs, Dance games, Fighting Games and Tactical Games.
i'm not so good at FPS and Strategy (liek C&C) but they are really fun to play anyway.

Actually, i don't play a lot, but i like to try and do everything, so beating it will take a while...but usually you can beat anything by summoning constantly.

I can't wait to test out the ffxii battle system! I hope it's a challenge but not brain nummingly hard.

All time favorite has to go to FFVI hand down. Great storyline, great character development, good replay value. It'd be awesome if Square Enix does a new version of this with the technology they have now ... but alast I hightly doubt it'll happen.

Be interesting to see how FFXII does. I didn't even bother to play FFXI.

@vexnet: hand-to-hand combat takes too long for me, i don't really find battles fun so i like to finish it quick.

@snowangel: ffvi is great! I really think that this ff really deserves to be remade again!

FF6 was a good game, probably one of the first games of the series to really establish FF as one of the greatest RPG series.

And as for battle length, I think it depends on the battle system. I prefer more of an adventure style battle system like .hack and some of the Zelda games had because long battles there are usually fun, but if it's turn-based, it eventually gets somewhat repetitive, and it can get boring if the battle's too long.

FFX2 was fun ni its own wa. Many say this sequel wasn't really... great. But whatever, it was fun nonetheless.

Lol, turn based  batlle systems are for strategic purposes as Active Time Battle is for... well, speed? I forgot where I read this off of but that what I remember. I like both styles depending on the situation. As for the new one Square is making for FFXII, I liked what i've read so far. So I have expectations as a gamer for it. ^_^

Same here, im dyin for its release. I'm also interested in FFXI which I think was the online version of the game, though theres no provider for the game yet in my country, so the only way to play it is through international means, which is expensive  -_-.

Actually, the battle system isn't going to be like kingdom hearts, it will be brand spanking new (i think) but still kind of resemble the online play of ffxi (i think since i've don't play online games).

yes, that is more similar to Kingdom Hearts than the other Final Fantasys, I know because as i quote from them "its more like Final Fantsy XI and Vagrant Story" both are also similiar to Kingdom Hearts.

also looking at the pictures helps support what i said.

Yeah, but it resembles ffxi, a final fantasy!

I'm pretty sure it's not that much like kh, well, it will be sort of like it but only slightly. There is a lot more going on in this battle system. Like you can switch battle party leaders, the gambit system, and developing differently depending on how you train them.
