Something interesting about that:
In the ones played on tv (cartoon network) here in Australia
Duo was refered to as 'The Great Destroyer'

however in the DVD release it is 'The God of Death'

Yup. But isn't Shinigami's literal translation, god of death anyway? Or he IS the god of death...I can't really remember....

Ok...so Heero's 1, Duo's 2....and I'm pretty sure Wufei is pilot 5....

Out of Quatre and Trowa, which is 3 and which is 4?

Yup, me think so too. The plotline for that show was messed, but so intersting, I'd watch an episode at least twice, just to make sure I got everything. I was one crazy fangirl >.<

I love this series sooo much^__^ I wish that it would still be on TV though so that I could tape it cause it's really cool. The only thign I didn't get much about it ws the politics type stuff but I was young when I watched it so I think if I watched it now I'd probably understand it^^;;lol

no for the special thing.. i don't mean that.. i mean like they were really special pilots.. i think it's because they could pilot MS called gundams right?? and only the 5 of the main character guys could right?? i don't remember.. i think i should watch gundam wing again.. HAHA

I don't think they were "special" so much as highly trained. I'd say that Zechs was the only really "special" pilot, what with his uncanny ability to pilot the Tallgeese 1 and all. I mean, the Gundams were cool and all...but Tallgeese had a friggin' huge cannon and had no less than three distinct variations throughout the series and movie. And unlike the other pilots, Zechs was friggin' sweet. That mask was awesome.

Hmmm...but Quatre and Heero were 'special' pilots too....Heero was so highly trained (and so strong - did you seem him bend thoseprison bars whilst rescuing Duo from that prison). And Quatre had that whole abilty to sense others emotions going on...that empathy thing.

Yes, but did you see them pilot a suit so demanding on the user that only two people ever managed to use it? I mean, from what I saw...the gundams were just really good suits. If you tossed a regular pilot in 'em, they could probably fly it. Not well, but they could fly it. I'll artfully ignore the Zero System for the sake of this argument, for that's a system not originally designed for the suits.

I mean, come on. The last normal pilot who got in the Tallgeese had a heart attack from the strain. O_o

Have you noticed how many names are numbers? I mean come on....HEERO means either one/single, there's DUO, QUATRE, TREIZE....oh, and that other one, SOLO

Did I miss anyone out? And why are there so many number names?!

anyone also see endless waltz.. if that's what it's called in jap too. i saw it. XD hehe. it's wicked.. love the music especially.. XD hehe.. i think i need to rewatch everything to understand it more now

i didn't quite get endless waltz before. it was a bit confusing but i got most of it.. umm i think..

the last time i watched any gundam wing was like 2 years back i believe.. HAHA!! pretty long time.. i'll have to rewatch it one day to get the whole story plot and maybe i'll check out the jap version.. haha never heard their jap voices before hehe..
