Where did your usernames come from?
« on: June 03 2005, 05:01 pm »
"What's in a name?"

Well here, just tell to all of us why you chose that username here!

As for mine, it's pretty simple, it came from an anime called Witch Hunter Robin.

Well, YOU JUST HAVE TO TALK!

Cool. I haven't read or seen that yet.

I tried to just come up with a username quick so I could ask a question here.
Didn't know I would end up spending so much time here.

I picked my name from my favorite character on Azumanga.

Is there any need to know where mine came from?  XD  Well, I'm in love with Syaoran so I wanted a sn that somehow involved him.  ^_^  Oh, and my best friends name  is the same thing as his.  Its also my favorite japanese male name besides Sakura and a long list of some.   :heh:

I just like the colour of rubies.....and I saw a lot of sites with people called things like 'Pan Chan' or something else like that...so I put them together! Ruby Chan!

I use it all the time, so if you see a Ruby Chan on any boards, it's probably me. (Although I found a webmistress with my username a little while back - but I was around  first, so why should I have to change my name?)

In my name S is for sakura, its too commaon a name so had to go for the initials, and espoire means hope in a language called creole, I don't know anything about this language  i just read this in a story book. My 2 close friends call me hope coz i say the word 'hopeless' a lot so ...
Dragonia You love dragons. That sounds unusual.

Mine came about when I was crazy about the Sailormoon live musicals and the actress Ono Hikari. I read that one of her nicknames from friends was "pikari". I thought it was cute, and have been using the name ever since, as its pretty unique. I've never met another Pikari on the net (although the yahoo address was taken, so I suppose there is...)

I got mine cblossom from cherry blossom, but S.Espoire pointed out that the "c" in cblossom can also stand for my first name. I didn't realize it till she told me  :) :sweatdrop:.

The "Cardcaptor" part comes from my love of CCS and the "Takato" part of my username comes for my love of my fav Digimon character, Takato!  So, put them together and you've got my username! I've been using this username for at least three years now since I joined CCU and I tend to use it at most forums and chat rooms.
When her leathery, crow-footed face turned towards my raised hand and said, “Yes, the boy in the Sailor Mercury t-shirt,” I sprung into action. It took me a brief 20 seconds to acquire the bokken (wooden sword) I had secured to the underside of our chairs with duct tape the night previous. Shouting “Japan BANZAIII!” in the manner of those noble kamikaze pilots from the War of United States Aggression (so tactlessly referred to in your history books as “World War II”), I charged the stage, bringing down the bokken forcefully onto the plywood table in front of Tiffany Grant. It was a tragic mistake not to channel my ki correctly. The bokken splintered into a thousand pieces, leaving me with no other plan of attack besides shouting, “You’re no Asuka!” as two Ohayocon toughs escorted me out of the room-SomethingAwful.com
