I created a comic book character named ARCADEMAN and that became my user name. Also in a few other places (and until recently, here as well) I also go by another name of acharacter my best friend and I created shortly after Arcademan...Pixie Parrillusia[/b] or PixieP[/b] for short :)

Quoted for those too lazy to go back to the second page of this thread

lol, cool! but WHY do they call you it? a Back to the Future fan !? XD

Well, I am a Back to the Future fan (1.21 gigawats!) but that's not it ^_^

Okay if you really need to know >.< ... (this is so pointless...)

I'm the kind of person who likes to do nice things for people, especially to pay them back for things. I would do stuff like hide notes and candy in lockers, etc...all anonymously, but soon people figured out who it was.

Anyway, I was in Drama, Marching Band, and taking a full school schedule with all Honors classes, so I was pretty busy, but I would still do this stuff for them. There was this guy named Randy who was in the play with me (NO, not that kind of guy. We were just friends. Actually, he's married now...) who was really nice and gave me a ride home every day because I was only 14 and didn't have my license and my parents always forgot to come get me.

So, to pay him back (becuase my house is in the complete opposite direction of his, and I felt bad for wasting his gas) I set up a series of presents and surprises, because that's what I do.

Well, anyway, one of these was something called a "Heart Attack" (I don't know if you guys have ever given anyone a heart attack. You cut out a bunch of paper hearts and write cool phrases on them and cover someone's room/yard/house/etc. with them. In this case it was Randy's car). I did it during an assembly that all of the attendance rosters said I attended (haha, I figured out how to skip assemblies on my first day have school. Haven't been to one since) and so Randy and everyone else couldn't figure out exactly how I had come up with the time to do it, especially with all of my extra-curriculars and large homework load. They didn't know how it was possible and frequently told me that apparently I had "too much time on [my] hands."

Well, the last heart that Randy pulled off his card ended up saying "I have way too much time on my hands!" and everyone laughed, because that's just what they had been saying.

And then my future friend (I didn't know any of these people yet, except through the play, and not very well), Nick, said "We should call her Captain Stopwatch!" (thank goodness that didn't stick!) and my friend Kyle was like, "No we should call her Time-Machine!" and since no one really knew me yet (they kept confusing my name with another little freshman girl in the cast, or they would call me Jennifer >.<) it stuck. It stuck so well that within a week no one could remember that my name was Jessica, including my parents.

My parents do sometimes call me Jessie, and some of my closest friends now call me Jess or TM, and one of my best friends calls me "Ama-chan"

But EVERYONE else calls me Time-Machine. EVERYONE. (It's always interesting starting new classes and having to explain that to your new teacher...they always think I'm trying to be a wise-jerk when I request it, and then always apologize when they are informed by the administration that that is my prefence...)

See? I told you. Long and boring story not worth telling.

Nah. Nice isn't easy stuff like giving people cookies and heart attacks. Really, nice is stuff like helping your crying friend on the phone at 2 am and sticking up for someone even if it can put you in a harmful or upsetting situation (like sticking up for someone to a teacher who is being dumb) or putting your life in danger or otherwise inconveniencing yourself for someone who needs it. That stuff takes effort and thought. Anyone with half an hour and two bucks can make cookies for someone or cover their car with construction paper hearts, and it might not be what the person really needs. And you don't actually have to put any thought into it.

I try to be nice, but I don't know how good I am at it.

In the end, construction paper hearts just aren't as good as the real thing.

For those who are too lazy to go to the 4th page. And I really love my forum name. ^_^

My first name is Maureen and when I was younger my uncle always called me Moe as a nickname. Around that time I was a fan of the Disney Channel, and they had a program called Zoog disney. I decided to join their club online and I came up with the name moesy from my nickname Moe, as in, "moesy along, but because Zoog had a "Z" in it I changed the "s" in moesy to z and came up with, "moezy".

After awhile I became a fan of the show Cardcaptors, the horrible American version and went on the internet to find out more about the show and I certainly did! I found the wonderful world of Card Captor Sakura! From visiting various websites about Card Captor Sakura, I found the wonderful world of fanfiction.net! I found that they named most of the boys -kun, and the girls -chan, so when I registered with ff.net instead of just moezy, I decided to extend it and I became moezy-chan.

Well... I have a tendency to pick usernames I hat in a month, but refuse to change, because by that time, they've grown on me, or I have quite a few posts and refuse to confuse everyone... :sweatdrop: It's a complicated emotion I feel for my username.

Well, the day I joined Capturedwings was the day I went on an 'epic' quest to the library, taking 2 buses because my local branch is closed, and checking out all 4 volumes of Clover. A mini Suu obsession phase occurred within an hour or 2, so by the time I went online and began my quest for tsubasa episodes in a compy-friendly format (they were just leaving Hanshin), I was still on this mini fan buzz when I came here.
So, getting my particles all confuzzled (as I often did back then) I basically tryed to say "Suu of Clover" but it kind of translated into "clover of suu", I later realized. :dodge:
The end.

Years ago I wanted to post my X-Men fanfiction to ff.net and was trying to create a username. My nickname was Cat at the time and I was trying to come up with various things using 'cat' that weren't taken. Since I was posting GambitRogue fics I entered 'sugahcat'... and thus I got my nick :)

I don't really remember why exactly, but for the longest time I was going by the name CrystalDragon in a lot of chat rooms. When I fell in love with Tsubasa and came to this forum I decided Crystal_Wings would be more appropriate. I thought it would make sense that a Crystal Dragon would have Crystal Wings!

Mmm.. it came from the deepest part of my head, and doesn't mean anything (at least not in any language I know). So it's just a word that popped out from nowhere.  And it has many varitations ppl like to call me, like Mezzi, Mezamee, Meesa, Messi, Metsuri and so on.

Laterly I had noticed it's pretty close to japanese words 'mezame' (the awakening) and 'mezameru' (to wake up).  That's kinda spooky, cause ppl always think me as the slaziest and sleepiest person in the world.
