lol, cool! but WHY do they call you it? a Back to the Future fan !? XD
Well, I am a Back to the Future fan (1.21 gigawats!) but that's not it ^_^
Okay if you really need to know >.< ... (this is so pointless...)
I'm the kind of person who likes to do nice things for people, especially to pay them back for things. I would do stuff like hide notes and candy in lockers, etc...all anonymously, but soon people figured out who it was.
Anyway, I was in Drama, Marching Band, and taking a full school schedule with all Honors classes, so I was pretty busy, but I would still do this stuff for them. There was this guy named Randy who was in the play with me (NO, not that kind of guy. We were just friends. Actually, he's married now...) who was really nice and gave me a ride home every day because I was only 14 and didn't have my license and my parents always forgot to come get me.
So, to pay him back (becuase my house is in the complete opposite direction of his, and I felt bad for wasting his gas) I set up a series of presents and surprises, because that's what I do.
Well, anyway, one of these was something called a "Heart Attack" (I don't know if you guys have ever given anyone a heart attack. You cut out a bunch of paper hearts and write cool phrases on them and cover someone's room/yard/house/etc. with them. In this case it was Randy's car). I did it during an assembly that all of the attendance rosters said I attended (haha, I figured out how to skip assemblies on my first day have school. Haven't been to one since) and so Randy and everyone else couldn't figure out exactly how I had come up with the time to do it, especially with all of my extra-curriculars and large homework load. They didn't know how it was possible and frequently told me that apparently I had "too much time on [my] hands."
Well, the last heart that Randy pulled off his card ended up saying "I have way too much time on my hands!" and everyone laughed, because that's just what they had been saying.
And then my future friend (I didn't know any of these people yet, except through the play, and not very well), Nick, said "We should call her Captain Stopwatch!" (thank goodness that didn't stick!) and my friend Kyle was like, "No we should call her Time-Machine!" and since no one really knew me yet (they kept confusing my name with another little freshman girl in the cast, or they would call me Jennifer >.<) it stuck. It stuck so well that within a week no one could remember that my name was Jessica, including my parents.
My parents do sometimes call me Jessie, and some of my closest friends now call me Jess or TM, and one of my best friends calls me "Ama-chan"
But EVERYONE else calls me Time-Machine. EVERYONE. (It's always interesting starting new classes and having to explain that to your new teacher...they always think I'm trying to be a wise-jerk when I request it, and then always apologize when they are informed by the administration that that is my prefence...)
See? I told you. Long and boring story not worth telling.
