Homework? In elementary school? Wow, that must've sucked. They only "homework" I got was reading. Which, was pretty simple.

I guess it depends on how many students are in your school and what kinda teachers you have

Elementary school sucked for me  nasty teachers clicky school  very small    they did'nt like newcomers  so i was all alone    except for when i hung out with the nerdy boys!  Rotfl

When i moved here middle school was slightly better larger school clicky but more accomodating  the girls were mean  (most of them anyways)  and Tons of homework

Highschool  is better teachers, less homework ,and the girls got their heads out of their butts 
(well most of them did but some shall be stuck forever that way i guess *sigh*) 
oh yeah boys just as dense as ever too!     I shall be a junior   when school starts  (11th grade)  people got nicer too.

Meh, I haven't noticed a difference between Middle School and Highschool. Maybe because both schools are practically side-by-side.
Okay, that makes no difference, haha.
But here, the girls are still evil, guys are still dense mean people (I'd put another word but...rules are rules), and the teachers are just as annoying and pointless as ever!
[ahem] I'll just stop ranting now. I'm just angry over school because I got my cruddy schedule in the mail today. Bah!

Grr...i loathe school. We just started yesterday and i already hate it. Its my first year of high school. *yikes* Though there isn't really a difference between middle and  high school. School where i live is just as Endoh described it. Evil girls and mean, pervy guys.

I really wish that my mother and I would move to a better part of town since our neighborhood is filled with gangs and violence and everyone is separated by nationality. (Also like that in the schools)

And to stay On Topic!!   =]

I am 14 and i will turn 15 in November ^_^  yay me!

Here I am, the old one again (Age: 21), just leaving what little advice I can for you folks.  High School is not as bad as you may think.  The first year is gonna be rotten, there just is no way around it, but once you make friends and get a routine for dealing with pests, pervs, and jerks then you will be just fine.   :tongue3:

can someone define..

what is the age range when you are attending (i) elementary school, (ii) middle school and (iii) high school?

im a little lost when you all speak about these schools because my country's school system is different.. we only have primary school (7 to 12 years old) and secondary school (13 to 16 years old)..

elementary-is usually from 3-10/11

I think thats how the age thing is...I can't remember what age I was when I started elementry school...

Elementary - Pre-K to 5th Grade (7 years;; Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 2rd, 4th, 5th grade)

Middle School - 6th to 8th grade (3 years)

High School - 9th-12th (4 years)

College.... uhhh, 2-4 years average but depends on what degree or course you're taking. Lol

I hated middle school. >_> and yeah, like Endoh said, I dont really see the difference between middle and high school other than the classes. lame *** teachers... i swear, if i meet my 8th grade science teacher again, there shall be hell to pay. -_-

i would do anything to go back in time to elementary years. Lol. those were teh good times... good times....

My schools go exactly like that too, grade-wise. Hehe, I would prefer NEVER seeing my 8th grade Socials, Math and PE teacher (he taught all three [shiver]. Creepiest person ever.

In Mesa, AZ where I grew up, our system was:
Elementary: K to 6th Grade
Middle (Junior High): 7th to 9th Grade
High School: 10th to 12th Grade

We also have community colleges and a major university in Arizona State.

We have:

Pre-school (I think the prep-year is replacing this, but I'm not sure)
Kindergarten to Year 6 (Primary School) - Note: Some states its K to 7)
6 or 7 (depending on the state) to Yr 12 - High School

Then we have TAFE and Universty - length of time is dependent on the course you are doing.

We have just introducted a prep-year now (on trial at the moment), as a stepping stone to primary school.
