Poll

Believe in love at first sight?

You bet! I met this guy today  .. I'm already planning our wedding!
Sure. It could happen.
I'm not too sure. You never know, though.
Naaah. Sounds too much like a cruddy romance novel.
Pssh, you HAVE to know the person to be in love. That's just silly.
No comment. To each their own.

I wish my mom could've gaven up with her protest in me buying anime when I caught one of my older sisters reading my manga today. But the way she is is that she tends to see some scenario she doesn't like and prefers to ignore it and not believe it. *sighs* But I'm holding up thinking about what moezy-chan said. In some years time, I'll be able to move out and buy whatever manga I want... I just hope I'll still be interested in anime/manga (I strongly believe I will). But I'm not bashing my mom or whatever. She's a wonderful mom, but sometimes she doesn't let me enjoy things I enjoy.

It's all you can do, and if it's any consolation, I've liked anime since I was 15 and I'm 22 now. That's only 2 years older than your age. Only thing that's changed is, when I was 15 I liked it, and now that I'm 22, I'm obsessed with it! Also, I didn't get interested in manga until a few months ago. I can't get enough!

Plus, there are people whom are much older then 22, and like anime. ( At least I think so.. I've seen plenty of older people at Sakura Con each time I've gone. )

I think as I become older, I'll still like anime/manga. Maybe even try to introduce it to my children! Haha.

Lol introduce it to your children... I'll probably pass down my anime and manga down to my children! Maybe they can pass it on to their children, and their children, and their children... *stops* whoa whoa... wait, who said I wasn't going to like it anymore when I have children? :P Meh.

Lol! You're just like my cousin! She said when she dies she wants her manga and anime to be buried with her, and that I should not steal them or she will haunt me forever XD. Hehe I'm always going to my cousin's house and trying to steal her TRC manga (which she hardly reads), but she always catches me :P Eh IF I do give my manga to my kids (which isn't very likely) I hope they treat them well... or else they get NOTHING in my will... hehe.

Hmm. I may have to do that when I die, but I don't want to think about dying now. I'm going to start driving soon and my life is going to take a different turn ( since I graduated from high school and have to find a job, blah blah blah.. )

Today I got my Washington ID card, or rather just a temporary one. Man..the DOL is probably the most boring place on the face of the planet. Okay, so maybe I'm stretching it a bit but I was bored out of my mind but managed to deal with the fact we had to sit and wait for a long time. I guess I didn't have to wait as long as I expected but still.. just a boring atomsphere.. yeah.

I know we're all talking about something entirely different. But I have something girly I need to ask, and I'd be embarassed to put this anywhere else, hehe.
Okay, there is this new guy in my Math class that I really like, hehe. He is adorable, and (to my suprise) really polite. We've barely exchanged words, but I really want to get to know the guy and don't exactly know how to go about talking to him.
I'm kinda like Syaoran in this kind of situation. I will blush, stutter and run away in defeat, haha.
So does anybody have a any suggestions? Tips? Conversation starters? Cause I'm totally lost, haha!

I already introduced it to my anime-interested friends. hahahaha but you know what they said? "You are so obsessed..."

Indeed I am. But who said they weren't? They had more of a collection than me. :sweatdrop:

If I have children (lol... maybe it's unlikely), most likelly they shall like anime/manga... >:)

I would try to give advice, but considering that my attitude is also like Syaoran's, to blush and run away, I wouldn't be much help. Also I know how you feel right now. There's this guy in my math class that I like, and he's also very polite, but I also don't know how to approach him. Our lives are really way too similar! I guess the best information I could give right now is to remain friends with him, and maybe something will happen in its own time. I really wish I could help out more. Ganbatte Endoh-chan.

I know! It's crazy! Maybe we're long lost sisters or something? :tongue3:
But that's the thing! I'm not even friends with him! We've barely even talked, too.
I wanna be able to start up some sort of conversation with him but I can't really think of anything besides "Hi! I'm Jenni-Maie! You're a cutie so let's be friends!"
[Pssh] That's a little too kindergarten for me, haha!
I hope things go well with your 'math-guy', though, Moezy-chan!

Well, I think it's always good to at least introduce yourself for starters. ^^; It may not be the best conversation you'll ever have but he'll know you're name. ;)

But what do I know? The first time I introduced myself to the guy I liked it was during a back-to-school dance and I was hella nervous. The music was loud and, so, I had to speak up. Not easy. I mentioned that I knew his brother back in 9th grade ( It was werid. I knew his younger brother beforehand and didn't even know they were brothers.. )

The conversation was awkward.. but eventually I got to know him a little better.. yet the conversations we had I always felt stupid.

Soo... I wish you luck Endoh-chan! Don't give up! ^_^

dont be surprised if the guy noticed you too.. and he may be too shy to talk to you too..

but i think its better to start with 'hi', 'hello' or 'how are you'?

We do know each other; he was in my Foundations for Education class 2 semesters ago, and I like to talk to him, but I'm too shy to tell him that I like him. Also he spends time with this other girl. I don't know if she's his girlfriend, so unless I'm certain, I'll keep my distance.

if he spends time with another girl.. most likely that is the girlfriend.. if not he's interested in her..

personally, i think its better to start slow.. as in dont tell him you like him so soon.. its better to hang out more often before you tell him~

The one part that confuses me more than anything is that I spent a lot of time with him those 2 semesters ago, and I wasn't his girlfriend, and he talks to her like he talked to me. Makes me jealous at times.

hmm..

i suppose 2 semesters ago is a long time ago? anything can change in this period of time..

or it will be better if both of you have a common topic.. think of one or make up one!
