Poll

Believe in love at first sight?

You bet! I met this guy today  .. I'm already planning our wedding!
Sure. It could happen.
I'm not too sure. You never know, though.
Naaah. Sounds too much like a cruddy romance novel.
Pssh, you HAVE to know the person to be in love. That's just silly.
No comment. To each their own.

@Moon Hime-san: I know how you feel. It's happened to me before, and of course, I felt awkward as well. I know it's hard to get over an old crush, but we all have to. Maybe you could just forget about your past with this crush and think of him as a friend instead of an old crush, it may help you to be more relaxed and comfortable. I'm horrible at giving advice, gomen ne, but I tried ^^;

@ moezy-chan (about the tomboy topic): I'm not exactly all girly, but I'm not really a tomboy either. I don't really dress too girly, but not too boy-ish. Is that possible?

I'm not sure I want to be really girly... it's the other way around with me. When I was younger, I liked to dress up in dresses, put butterfly hairclips in my hair, tie my hair back with ribbons, wear high-heel sandals...

but I'm not really like that now. I've gone through a weird transformation, I've become less girliesh now. But I like to giggle, swoon over cute guys, and talk about chick flicks and the like. But I also like to joke around with guys, join in their weird conversations about video games I've never even heard of. So I guess I have my girly ways and my tomboy ways... I don't think I'm really girly or tomboyish though.

The tomboy topic again?

Anyway... I think I'm kinda tomboyish but I still have my ponytail with a Hello Kitty tie for Pete's sake. >_> I used to wear skirts and dresses now I just like to wear my sweatpants all the time.

Moon Hime: Hope it works out. I'm interested in the whole real-life love thing...

:sweatdrop: Umm... I guess I'm kinda tomboyish... I prefer pants over skirts... I still wear skirts and dresses, too, but not as much...
I think I'm kinda tomboyish but I still have my ponytail with a Hello Kitty tie for Pete's sake.
I still collect Hello Kitty, TY's, teddy bears, and keepsake dolls (a thing I do with my mom)...
But, I play video games, basketball, baseball, and soccer as much as my brother does...

When I was little, I was more "girly" then... I played dress up, too, picked flowers, played with dolls, constantly played with my hairstyle , pretended I was a princess... and pink was my favorite color ... (  :sweatdrop: not anymore...) I also used to like dresses with ribons and bows on it... (  :sweatdrop: not anymore either...)

Now, blue is my favorite color... I kinda hang out in my brother's room more than my own because his room has most of the video game consoles in it... So he doesn't mind much... I still care about how I look, just not as much...  :keke:

But, like Cherry-chan said, I don't really see myself as tomboyish or really girly... some of my friends see me as girly... some see me as tomboyish...  :sweatdrop: I just see myself as me...

Also, I hate makeup and anything related to it. >_> Like hair salons and jewelry. I'd say I'm about a half tomboy and half girl.

Now, these days, I locked the stuffed animals I treasured so much in the closet.

Oh and I thought I might aswell share this link with you Girls. Since your on about Tomboyness.
I found it on a comedy strip that seemed too crazy to be true, But apparantly it is to some people.
When a Woman Wears Pants

I personally found the page laughable, What about all you girls?
think the guy is sexist? crazy? stupid? over religious? naive? ... high?

The guy is crazy. That's all I've gotta say. I would like to give my opinions, but I'm not going to talk about *** on the forums. There are children here after all.

Batsh1t crazy. If it weren't so sad I'd laugh. But the thing is, too many men around the world think like that.

Been a while since I posted in here but anyway...

I'm not a tomboy, and I'm not a girly-girly girl. I'm just...normal  :tongue3: Whatever normal means...I prefer pants to skirts, and yet ironicly, I have more skirts than pants.  :sweatdrop: Make-up is one thing that I can live without, but sadly, dance makes us wear make-up. Other than that I don't really wear much. Where the girls at my school wear so much mascara and eyeliner it isn't even funny...They also wear the shortest miniskirts...>.>;

The world always did seem to be like where males rule. >_> Since history such as the 1700s, Greece, and such.

Let's keep this board PG rated, people!

Yes, please. Keep it rated PG.

And if there's one pet peeve I have, it's when men think that women are meant to stay home and cook and clean. I'm not insinuating all men though, but most do. It sickens me to no end. Women are worth more than just giving birth and cleaning. Women are extremely valuable, and there is strength in femininity. It is not weak to cry or to be caring. We need to learn to be more proud of what we are. All women are beautiful, and none of you forget that!

Yes, I agree. http://www.campaignforrealbeauty.com/ We should all be comfortable in our own skin.

"Character contributes to beauty. It fortifies a woman as her youth fades. A mode of conduct, a standard of courage, discipline, fortitude and integrity can do a great deal to make a woman beautiful."
- Jacqueline Bisset

Sometimes (like in my friend's case), girls and women degrade themselves to be like how others perceive them. They do it to fit the image of how a women should be to other people. I find that quite disappointing. We should all strive to be the best we can be, and not settle for how other people think we should be.

That's why I think back then in history, men were paranoid. >_> They didn't need the women until they came crying to us in like World War II. Or I think...

Funny thing. Me and my mom were at the mall shopping for pants and I chose the pants from the boys department! They were so comfortable! ^^ Girls' were stretchy and low-cut. Bleh.
