Poll

Believe in love at first sight?

You bet! I met this guy today  .. I'm already planning our wedding!
Sure. It could happen.
I'm not too sure. You never know, though.
Naaah. Sounds too much like a cruddy romance novel.
Pssh, you HAVE to know the person to be in love. That's just silly.
No comment. To each their own.

There was another lady around here that was fired from a resteraunt because she was pregnant. She sued the place! We told Shannon to do the same, but she didn't seem to mind. Crazy.

it's completely unjust. your cousin shouldn't have been fired.

but that's good that all the customers followed her to her own business. serves them right!

What a heartless bi***h! Glad that it all worked out though! Not many women get to work and spend time with their children! Must be great for her!

I just need to vent, so here I go... I don't like how sometimes I'm teached as though I'm 10 or younger by my parents. They don't seem to understand that I'm 18 years old.

For example, when they left to spent the weekend at our cabin ( we own a cabin in the mountains ).. I was able to stay home so long as I had a friend over. She spent the night and it all good but still.. I mean, c'mon. I suppose they just want to protect me.. but it's kinda irrating sometimes.

Then, they don't truth me much about what I do online. Especially when it comes to chatting with people on AIM or MSN. They think that people I'm talking to are 50ish old ( or whatever age ) pervents out to get me. Grrr. Only my friends do they trust me talking to. Oh well.

..If I had the ability, maybe I'd move out but I'm not ready. Moving out at 18 is a bad idea unless you know how to drive and have a decent job, for christs sakes. I have neither.. and I don't care about living with my parents. I'll move out when I'm ready.. but still, sometimes I'd too because they don't trust me when it comes to the internet. >_>;;;

I know exactly how you feel. I'm 22 and I live at home. I go to college and I pay for my books which drain my bank account dry so I can't afford to move out, let alone get a license, because even if I could learn how to drive, I wouldn't have the money to buy a car, and my parents won't let me drive their car because they think I'll crash it, and yet my dad borrowed my 2 older sister's car and crashed it. Parents are hypocrites! And I want to post my picture on this site and my mother says that I'm not allowed. It can be very frustrating.

Here's what you have to know though. One day you'll find a job career that will give you the happiness you deserve, like I did, and even if you still will be living at home when you find what you want to be, you'll still have that goal lighting your way down the tunnel. Don't let it get to you and you'll make it. I did. Once I found what I wanted to be, all thoughts of depression, and unfortunately suicide, were erased from my mind. I don't know if your battling depression or not, but that's just a small insight into my life. I hope that this will help you feel better and get you going on your road down to freedom!

I know i might be a little late with this but i know exactly how you feel. I'm 18 too and it is like i have no control over my life. They get the final say in everything even if it is just to go to the cinema with my relations.

Then there is the part of them not trustiing me although i've never given them a reason for them not to.I mean It's about time i made my own decisons and about time they let go-- they are wayyyyyy too protective. They would never let me stay alone home even if a friend was coming over to stay.
If you think about it the past becomes the present and the present the future.

I will learn to love you again...

Wow. After reading all this, I'm glad I have such easygoing parents. Now that I think about it....we don't even have rules in this house! ....woah.
I think it's because whenever they tried to "discipline" my brothers', it never worked, so they just gave up.
I can't say whether that's a good thing, or a bad thing.
