Poll

Believe in love at first sight?

You bet! I met this guy today  .. I'm already planning our wedding!
Sure. It could happen.
I'm not too sure. You never know, though.
Naaah. Sounds too much like a cruddy romance novel.
Pssh, you HAVE to know the person to be in love. That's just silly.
No comment. To each their own.

My mother is trying to morph me into my sisters: skinny, pretty, social, fashionable, and O.C crazy! I refused to take the tight Stitches (I hate that store) jeans, and she sighed at me and said, "Kim, it's good to be in-style. Be like your sisters." I couldn't believe it. Be like my sisters? Ha, that's a joke. One's a completely cruel person to me, and half of them have boyfriends they've hidden from my parents. I'm sorry to say that, but it's true. I don't want to turn into some secretive, deceiving O.C lover. I love my sisters, don't get me wrong, but sometimes they are too much to bear.

I know how you feel; as far as my mom wanting me to be like my sisters. I was always independent and brash, and they prefered to be told what to do. I can't take it when somebody tells me how to live my life. Look at the bright side though. You'll always have this forum to complain, and we'll never make fun of you!

Number one thing my mom tries to get me to buy when we go shopping together is a dress . . .  :dodge: Ugh. She's forced so many dresses on me, and I've only worn them once in a blue moon . . . I don't understand how girly-girls can spen SO much time playing around with their style and looks . . .

P.S.

Just feel like complaining a bit . . . I'm sick with a cough and a sore throat, and it hurts like anything . . .  I can't eat the things I want to.  :( Sorry . . . I had to do that . . .

HaHaHaHa . . . I've known people who spent about $200 dollars on a pair of jeans and hundreds on designer purses and other clothes . . . I don't understand how poeple can do that, and why a pair of jeans can cost so much . . . You could buy some good anime products with that kind of money . . .

Oh!!! Thank you for hoping I feel better.  :keke:

oh wow, i guess i'm different. my mom and i walk into stores and go directly to the sales or clearance racks. HAH. i guess it's because i can buy more with everything i save! o_O! my mom tries to get me to wear jeans with like.. flowers on them or designs on them.. i'm more of a plain jean person. i got out of my tomboy phase back in 7th grade, but, i still love to wear hoodies.

For those who are American or know of American culture, my mom tried to make me Shirley Temple's twin when I was a child! She had me in frilly pink dresses, lacey socks, my hair in pink ribbons, and buckled shoes! To this day, I refuse to wear the color pink! Doesn't help that I also have curly hair and dimples like Shirley Temple. Tried everything to get it straightened, but I still have my curly brown locks! I hate them. Forgive me for b****ing. I'm pms and really need to get this out. I think I start in 2 days, according to my calendar and my head is throbbing. I always get headaches before my period. Ok, ranting done.

oh man, shirley temple. that's a good drink. haha. my mom dressed me in frilly outfits too. that's why i became all tomboyish when i started going to public school. i disliked dresses a lot and my mom worked at night so she wouldn't pick out my outfits when i went to school so i wore pants and jeans a lot.

i was also good at sports. hah `=P

I don't have any sisters, just two older brothers. I actually like shopping ( ever since I started to lose weight ) and I actually like the colour pink. But, I'm really starting to fall in love with shades of green, blue and other colours besides pink.

I'm considering to paint my room.. but then I'm too lazy to actually do it. I thought maybe once I move out into an apartment I can paint my room blue. Maybe like a soft blue-green shade.

hmm... now that I remember it... my mom looks at those pictures now and then... being the rebellious type of daughter i am (people, if you watch gundam seed, you can compare me to Cagalli xD) my mother would look back at those (horrific) photos and say, "What ever happened to the little adorable angel in this photo??" o_O Why must mothers get all.. emotional. lol.

I want to paint my room walls white... but my parents just put... well, wallpaper all over it. flower designs that is

my mom does the same thing. i had to do a movie project for my digital arts class a year ago. and we had to do like a "through the years" movie on how we've grown up and stuff using only pictures. well, when i was done, i showed my mom, and she was in tears at the end. she was just like... you've grown so much! *sob* i wonder what happened to your cuteness! *sob* and i'm just sitting there staring at her.

My mom and dad always ask that, "Oh, where did my little girl go?"
I just answer, "Your sons, TV, and the schools corrupted her. Go ask them."
