Poll

Believe in love at first sight?

You bet! I met this guy today  .. I'm already planning our wedding!
Sure. It could happen.
I'm not too sure. You never know, though.
Naaah. Sounds too much like a cruddy romance novel.
Pssh, you HAVE to know the person to be in love. That's just silly.
No comment. To each their own.

You're welcome, Monserrat :keke: Yeah, everytime I'm on the computer my mom always says, "What are you doing on the computer, huh? Huh? It better be research. Also, I have yet to see your math grades improve. Why don't you practice your math instead of going on the internet and reading that fanfiction!"

This is for Endoh-chan, Cherry-chan, and Monserrat-chan. I know that Monserrat-chan and Endoh-chan are teenagers, and I don't know what Cherry-chan's age is so I'm also assuming that Cherry-chan is also a teenager. If I'm wrong, please correct me.

As you all know my major in college is Education to become an elementary teacher, but I'm also getting my minor in Psycology (Study of the human mind). Before I begin, I hope I don't sound like a know-it-all, and am talking down to you. I apologise ahead of time. Also, don't tell your parents. I don't want any of you to get in trouble because of what I said.

I'm 22 and I remember what it was like to be a teenager. It su**s, I know, but the worst thing about it was how the relationship with my mother changed. I used to be able to talk to her, and tell her my problems, but the minute I turned 13, I became a kaijuu. I was he** on earth.

For Monserrat-chan, you stated that your relationship with your mother changed, and she favors your little sister instead. I know how that feels, only it was with my older sister. I'm the youngest in my family. Your mom is not made at you. Chances are, she's actually scared now that you are a teenager, and I'm also assuming you're the oldest.

Again, if I'm wrong, please correct me. But in the case that I am right, you are her first child that is growing up and becoming a young woman. She doesn't know what to do. Please be patient, and though it seems hard, try to listen to her, and help her. It will be difficult, but it won't last. Show her your love and hopefully she'll calm down.

The above was also for Cherry-chan. Again, if I'm wrong on any of my assumptions, please correct me.

And as for Endoh-chan, if our lives are as alike as I think they are, chances are your mom and dad are frustrated with your brother because they can't control him, and they choose to take it out on you. My parents did the same thing to me. The good news though, they realized what my brother was really like, and now that he's gone, they eased up on me. Be patient; things will turn around.

And this is for everybody: Zettai Daijobu Daioh! (Everything Will Definately be Alright!) I can guarantee, things will change for the better. It seems hopeless now, but things will definately change for the better!

Great advice, Moezy-chan! It really helps even me, despite you talking to other girls. I'm frustated with my parents for treating me as though I'm 14 or younger and it really annoys me. ( Not like girls thoses age don't understand anything like that, I'm just saying... )

For example, after a quick trip to the library my mother was telling me about something she had heard on the news. Something about how teen books ( especially those for teenage girls ) have sexual sceens in them and that parents don't even know this. So, I felt like she was saying this because of the book I got ( The book is called Guitar Girl and it does mention sexs and the girl telling the story does have it eventually but it's not like the author went into huge sexual detail. )

What was pissing me off is that it seems she doesn't think that I can't handle that or I'm not mature enough to understand sexual crap. ( My goodness. I started to learn about stuff like that in 5-6th grade!! )

Anyway... I just want to thank you. ^_^

You know what moezy-chan... you should be a psychologist... or those type of people that give out advice

My parents have no idea what I read... either they don't care or I unknowingly shunned them from knwoing at all *highly UNlikely -_-* There was a book like The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison (omg I have no idea how I remember the titles and authors o_o)... something like moonprincess18 mentioned. lol

What was pissing me off is that it seems she doesn't think that I can't handle that or I'm not mature enough to understand sexual crap. ( My goodness. I started to learn about stuff like that in 5-6th grade!! )

My mother had given me 'the talk'... yeah, same line. >_>

I have considered it, but no. Teaching is what I'm meant to do. And the type of people who give out advice are called counselers and I don't want to do that either.

Thank-you very much, Moezy-chan!
Well, my lazy brother just broke up with his just-as-lazy girlfriend. So now maybe he will get off his a** and actually make something out of himself.
At least I hope so.
And I just transfered myself into the "easy" Math class, since I totally bombed the test we had the other day.
So, I'm starting to "See the light at the end of the tunnel"....I guess, haha.
And my mom is actually "bribing" me to do well in school this year. She says if I get sine decent marks in my midterm report she'll get me that gecko I always wanted! Or a salamander...or some sort of anphibeous lifeform. My choice, hehe!
So there's my inspiration right there!

Arigatou, moezy-chan. Really. You've been such a great help. And I am eternally grateful. I keep remembering the words under your signature, and it helps. I realize now that if I want to change my relationship with my mother, I should be postitive, not negative. I shouldn't counter back with anger and sadness, but with TLC and support. I am ready to let go of the past, and have a fresh start with my mother. I hope she's willing to change our relationship too. Arigatou again.

Hey girls.. what's up? What we talking about right now? :sweatdrop: I don't come onto this thread anymore because I never know what the topic is. ROFL!!! HAHA! Silly me.

Yea anyways. I don't remember if we talked about this or not yet but I thought about it a while ago.

Would you like it more if the guy came up to you first or you going up to the guy first? I don't know if I'm asking the question properlly or not but yea. Something like that. I mean like people are saying how girls should be more (something). I'm not sure of the word. lolz. I only know it in chinese. HAHA! :sweatdrop: Like if a girl likes a guy, the girl should be the first to speak up. What do you guys think??

Do you think the guy should be the first or us girls?? I really think the guy should. Or probably depending on the situation. lolz

I guess it would depend on this situation, like you said.
But I honestly would prefer the guy to make the first move, since I'd be too shy to do it first :tongue3:

True true, the guy should make the first move.

Well let's say the guy likes you and you like the guy. Neither of you guys are making any moves. Until one day one of you guys finally do. Now who should that 'one of you' be?? lolz.

Guys can be jerks at times saying how the girls don't do anything and they should be the one that should be more 'direct'? lolz. I FOUND MY WORD!! lolz.

Same with me, besides, when men do it, you feel reassurance that they like you, and if they like you, then you can be more open. Besides, guys dont have much to lose, while girls have a reputation to uphold and whatnot, so if they do get rejected, it dampens their reputation, and perhaps pride. I dont really care though, as long as the guy likes me, or I like him, I'll go for it, and if it doesn't work out, whatever, I've come to get annoyed by relationships right now, I'm only 15 anyway, thinking about a relaitonship is nerve-wracking :haha:

Anyway, what annoys me the most about my parents his how I come into every conversation. For example, some girl is a sl*t or something, and then my mother starts talking about how bad it would be if I became like that, and how I have to be careful, and how I shouldn't be so nice or perhaps how immature I can be, etc. and so forth. I get really frustrated because it seem like they have no faith in me! I hate it when I'm compared to something I'm not.

TO be honest, my parents dont like it when I go out late, or do something like shopping out late, or whatever. So, I read manga and watch anime to kill the time, and I enjoy it. Then, a few days ago, my parents start interrogating how I should stop being addidicted to the computer and do something productive. Then I asked "LIke what? I did my homework, did my chores etc." and then they say "Go out for example".

0.o

I nearly cried from frustation. It seems like parents wont ever be satisfied, and everything I do should be analyzed and criticized. I know I'm not perfect, but I'm human too, and i hate it when they think they know what's best, when they dont sometimes. I know they have good intentions, but I wish they could show it more nicely, or perhaps treat me like an adult with feelings. I'm the oldest too, and so I'm the 'second mother' and the 'role model', which pretty much means I have to be perfectly perfect, and cant make mistakes. Its really frustrating, and I get angry when my mistakes are so horrible, when my 13 year old sister does the same.

HAHA!! I agree with you , Fisah, on the getting annoyed by relationships. *sigh* I so don't need one. My friends have like penlty of problems on their relationships and it just gets me want to stay single forever even more. lolz.

I guess when I like a guy, I tell them. ROFL!! Getting rejected sucks but I don't really mind. It actually brought my friendship with one of them closer. ROFL!! The other completely ignores me unless I talk to him first. *sigh*

My parents don't mind me staying out late. I just need to tell them. lolz. But my mom doesn't like me being on the computer all the time, watching anime, or reading manga. I should be reading more novel books. WHATEVER! I learn from manga too, you know. ROFL!! haha. And I've read like a lot of novels over the pass month. haha. And anime helps me with my jap. ROFL!!

My mom has been giving me the same speech for a while now. "Try to be more 'gentle' when you're talking." ROFL!! I'm like "yea.. yea.. yea whatever." That's exactly what she doesn't like but I take it after her. lolz. It's funny. I know at times, I speak in like a rude way but I can't really help it. ROFL!!!! And it's mostly only at home. ^__^ haha

WHOO!! I'm the second mother too and the role model of this family too. *sigh* IT SUCKS!!!

Funny you should mention this lika-chi. I like this guy in my math class, but I find it hard to tell him. We're good friends and we talk, but nothing else.

And this is for fisah-chan: I find it hard to believe that you're 15 years old. You act much more mature than that. You have excellent perception and are very good at analyzation. Contrary to what your parents say, you are very mature, and you shouldn't change a thing!

LMAO lika-chi, my mother tells me that too, I dont have ettiquete, and I dont use my manners, and I talk really foul, rofl, but I really can't help it. I keep everything that happens to me in school, and at home, I just, crack :XD:

Moezy-chan: Thank you *hugs* I do get that alot, I think that's why I'm in grade 11 right now, though it sucks and everything >_>.  Don't worry, I dont plan changing anything, I think I'm mature enough too :P Thank you again ^^

Haha, Math-class-guys must be the hot thing these days.
I just transfered into a different Math Class....so I'm Josh-less T_T
But I wasn't going to stay in a extremely difficult (for me, anyways) class just for a guy who I'm not even sure notices me. I'm not that pathetic :tongue3:
Plus, I wanna be in the easier class because:
Easier class = Better grades = I get a gecko! Hehe.

O_O.... that's exactly how I feel! My parents are like that too... well, my mother anyway. My dad is more... uhh... what's the word... 'carefree' of the situation because he knows what I do anyway. My mother just doesn't make any connection with my life at all... she's just... there. I don't talk to her often... it's her always talking to me... and when we actually DO talk... she just turns it into a topic against me... I honestly can't take it... I mean, with all this pressure coming from OUTSIDE of this household (school, life, etc) i just get too tired to listen anymore. Probably since one time I just snapped... (see what the pressure can do you me?). I mean, we're all human... human aren't perfection... that's why humanity is corrupted today... just look at the world now. You think I want to think about stuff like this?

...I need a break. *sighs* You know, you guys really make me think too much. :sweatdrop:
