Title: Hurricane Rita
Post by: Director of Music on September 22 2005, 08:39 am: Okay at first i didnt mind it much because I thought ppl were exgagerating because of Hurricane Katrina. Then when today the news alert said it changed from catogory 1 to 4 to 5...well now im realllly antsy..and i have HOMEWORK on top of it..PROJECTS >< and im scared out of my mind.... :sad5:

I'm not quite sure about it... I mean, no one really mentioned it at school... and I'm actually learning about Hurricanes in Earth Science (the teacher goes on and on and on....) and the teacher hadn't mentioned Rita. o.O

She was going "the hurricane's going to be 300 to 400 miles below Sugarland..." and then she started talking about how people where fighting for food at the markets and stuff o_o

I don't think Rita will do as much damage as Katrina, because the damage was mostly from floods, which Katrina was more powerful in making. Rita, I think, won't do as much flooding, but she have powerful winds. Both are very strong. I hope the people down south in the US will be okay!

I don't think there is anything left to worry about, although I understand it must have been frightening after seeing what happened in New Orleans. Still, I remain a little skeptical of the news... not about it being over, but its force to begin with. Bah well I'm glad everyone's alright.
